Parramatta has informed the NRL integrity unit after being made aware of photographs circulating on social media of rising star Isaiah Iongi.
This masthead has been sent photos of Iongi seemingly smoking a substance. After becoming aware of the matter, the Eels have contacted the NRL, as is required under the rules whenever a club suspects there is a potential integrity issue.

Parramatta officials have also attempted to contact Iongi, but have so far been unable to do so on Tuesday morning.
Iongi is considered a future superstar, nominated as one of the rookies of the year after a breakout season in 2025.
After playing just one NRL game for Penrith, Iongi has made the No.1 jersey his own at the club following the departure of Clint Gutherson.
Story updated: Eels have spoken with Iongi this morning.

Great this is all we need right now
Just what we dont need on the eve of the season kick off! We'll, at least we have joash as a good back up. Hopefully nothing too this story
Yes we have Joash who we can and have won with.
I don't know the facts of the story but it amazes me why players put themselves into a position that can jeapodise their career.
Exactly right 5 minutes before the season a player thinks this is the right thing you want seen on social media. One word Moron. How can you be this stupid even if it's proven to be nothing why bring drama so close to the season.Immaturity at its finest.
Its rolling tobacco moron
Photos are from the past and his ex is releasing them to smear him. Not his fault
Here we go, Lomax gone, Addo Carr gone, Iongi being naive, whether he gets onto the field or not in round 1 it will be disruptive at best. How the Eels cannot contact their own employee feels bizarre, though.
So much good work by coaches and senior players to get the Eels on track, through the front office and through the grades across the club has been astonishing. They must stay together as a team and dig in, show that spirit and heart. Fans are demanding that now.
P.S Great bloody friend or mate that takes that photo, and then releases it. That's whom we should be shaming.
SMH reporting Eels officials have been in contact this morning 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
That's the most positive thing i've heard. I've never met the kid, but from how he has conducted himself so far under the public gaze has been a credit. Comes across as shy, respectful and totaly committed to the club. Am i wrong ?
