5204270079?profile=RESIZE_710xThe Eels don't have to play twice against any of the top three-ranked teams, with the Brisbane Broncos and Manly Sea Eagles the only sides that they play twice that featured in last year's finals series. They have also been allocated a return leg against western Sydney rivals the Wests Tigers, Bulldogs and Panthers.

      • You think so in QLD? I have no faith in them. TBH Brett the home ground advantage will not be much without crowds etc.

  • According to Fox Sports, the Eels got a hard draw.

They did an article which tallies the toughness of the draw a team has recieved by adding the number allocated to their opponents based on last year's finish in the minor premiership. For example, Titans =16 points and Storm = 1 point.

The draw with the highest score has the easiest run, and the draw with the lowest score has the hardest run. It's a simple yet effective way to assess it.

Eels had the 10th lowest score with 148 points, which is close in number to hardest draw (drawn by the Tigers) tallying 142 points.

9 teams received an 'easier' draw. The Sharks got the easiest run with 193 points.

    • Now now, don't let the truth get in the way of certain media agendas... Channel 7 last night were adamant that Parra got the cushiest draw of any team!

      • The fact that we play 11 of our last 17 games at BankWest and don't have to leave NSW after we play the Broncos is where we are fortunate.

  • Hard to say if it's a difficult draw when only 2 rounds have been played.

    • They're basing it off last years results. But yeah, last year we went from 16th to 5th, so anybody that had to play us twice last year would've been pissed off.

  • So who maje

  • Sharks have easiest draw by far

    • Sharks have already played two of the top 4 in Storm & Souths & lost both in rounds 1-2 meaning the Eels have the easiest. We also play more games than anyone else at home and virtually stay in Sydney for the entire season. We've been hit in tge ass by a massive rainbow and need to make it count.  Anything but top 4 is a sackable offence all things being equal with injuries

  • IMO there is not much difference between most of the teams and easy or hard depends on if the opposition has key injuries/are in form etc

"I will say, one more injury in the forwards itself, we are cutting it fine. Heading into Brown, Latu, Funa-Iuta and Mataele territory. Not ideal using them due to desperation.
That's not a thing that's resolved in a few weeks either it's for the…"

"Tigers are favourites, I think they're going quite well.
But I am backing us as always. Tigers are no Penrith.
Still don't like Walker starting, and I would've preferred Williams to 11 and De Belin to 8 and Tuilagi bench. "

"Williams isn't a prop, better suited to lock.  Jnrs doesn't bend the line or make decent meters.  How is it that a professional club has zero starting props ffs.
Mark o'neill is 💯 % a useless kent. No foresight,  no negotiation nous, no idea
