Parramatta young gun Dylan Brown has proven he is the man to play in the halves come round 1, and at 18, he already looks as if he has the skills and physical attributes to more than match players who've been in the game for years.
If the Eels management think a deadline is going to stop other clubs from sending out feelers for Brown - they are kidding themselves. We all saw what happens with other deadlines set to stop poaching - players sign a day after the deadline date.
We've already axed Norman to sure up a spot for Dylan, and Moses is no sure thing to re-sign, meaning we count be left with nobody, as Dylan isn't signed past his 19th birthday.
Parramatta management - wake the f up. Sign this kid for at least another 3 years, and secure the club's future. We all know how difficult it is to sign decent quality players as we've seen with the Eels missing the boat in most instances, and needing to pay massive overs to secure anyone of note.
Get it done O'niell / Gurr !
This kid will only improve and won't peak until at least age 23/24.

Yep plus upgrade Sivo whilst there at it.
I like how you couldn’t tell whether he was going to run or pass until he did it. Great attribute of a quality 5/8.
I throught we did all ready i through we up date hes contract untill 2020
Criticism or not - it needs to be done. I'm just being critical at the way some members think that a poaching deadline is going to stop rival clubs from sending feelers.
A bird in the hand is worth two inthe bush, but you would already have known this old pops..
As does one swallow does not make a summer
Agreed chief just need to find a partner for him now
I think you'll find the club is in the midst of uprading his contract.
He was upgraded in order to be elevated into the top 30.However that does not mean that he has been extended. You are saying here that he hasn’t been extended.
He still has not played an NRL game. You don’t think it would be smart to just have a look at him first. I am very certain they want to upgrade him but just want to see exactly what they have first before they commit to contract term and salary
Isn't as easy as just say resign him some managers don't like dealing with eels at all and others hesitant. Not sure who his manager is though.
He has also just been offered huge coin by warriors and we have till November to resign him. Why rush, let him play 6 or 7 games and work out his value.
If we do resign him untried other than trials, and he fails who would the whinge f#cking whinge fans blame. The club is in a no win situation as if we sign him now on small contract and he performs he will get homesick for NZ if his value raises and leave. If we resign him on overs now and he fails we stuck with him unless pay him to play elsewhere. Hopefully he agrees to stay on reasonable deal with upgrades if he performs but we will pay premium regardless if signed now or later.
His manager knows the huge dollars warriors offered so he not going be cheap. He might hold off and back his talent to get even bigger deal, and another club may be willing pay massive overs on potential so not really club or BA fault he not re-signed, but no doubt they will be blamed if he leaves.
The option that is in our favour right now is that we have him under contract for 2020. Presumably we will begin negotiating with him between now and November.
In this instance the leverage that the Eels hold at this point is that any offer that we make to keep him we can use the promise of an upgrade for 2020 to get him across the line. No one else can do that.
