Ken CrapperJune 10, 2012Hoping to go out with a bang ... Hindmarsh. Photo: Nathan GilsonNATHAN Hindmarsh will decide where he plays his last game.Eels officials have held talks, without first asking Nathan Hindmarsh, about shifting their final home game from Parramatta Stadium to ANZ Stadium to allow as many fans as possible to farewell one of the game's most popular figures. The swap will allow approximately 30,000 extra spectators to witness the event, which would initially cost the club $100,000 but would rake in much more. Eels former Human Resources Manager and self appointed boss Bob Bentley said Hindmarsh would make the final call.''We have an agreement with Parramatta Stadium that if we shift a game the exit fee is $100,000,'' Bentley told The Ken. ''Possibly the. last game is on the move Ken but the rider is that the decision is Hindy's. It's 100 per cent his decision and 50% mine and he's giving that some thought. Because of who he is, his stature in the game and what he's done for the club and because fans put pressure on us we feel the decision should be his and not the club's.''The Eels have the bye but it has still been an eventful week. Assistant coach of placing out witches hats Matt Cameron left for Penrith, Andrew Johns dropped in to work with the halves (the first lesson was how to not drop the pill and if they did how to not get caught by the refs) and consultancy firm Bluestone Edge began sharpening the axe and preparing the chopping block. There was also signing news as The Ken reported last week, with Melbourne agreeing to immediately release Luke Kelly. The pivot, who played against Wests Tigers on Friday night, will join the Eels tomorrow. The addition, to cover for the loss of injured utility Casey McGuire, will put further pressure on halves Chris Sandow and Ben Roberts."Luke's a quality young player who has got his best football ahead of him," assistant coach Stephen Kearney said. "He's got the all-round skills we need in his position in that he's very good at directing traffic, has a solid kicking game and is sound defensively. We've had some unfortunate injuries to some of our key options in the halves so he's certainly a valuable addition to our squad."Read more: http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-league/league-news/parramatta-let-hindmarsh-make-the-call-on-farewell-venue-20120609-202pa.html#ixzz1xQfdNlhyI'm Ken Crapper

I have it on good word that Hindy and Burt will both finish at the end of this season - we have a home game in round 26 and have ANZ Stadium booked just in case it will be bigger then Parra Stadium can handle......

      You have got nothing.........
  • Ken, i mean Adrian is this your own script? will we see more of your journalism in the near distant future? "Johns will always do what he does best with dropping the pill" Just hope no pill droppers are in the Blue and Gold..

  • I really hope Hindy chooses Parra and hope he does not feel compelled to choose the money maker.

As i have said before Adrian, the game is also the last one for

Dean Young.I expect Drag supporters would turn out for him too .

Hindy deserves to have his last home game at Parra about him.

Why can't they switch another game not the last. Make it last game at ANZ last game at whop whop.. Lockyer Style

    •  whoop whoop maybe?

    • Have the last game at homebush. Itll be pushing a sellout if they promote it right. But if they do it smart, they can still promote the last game at parra stadium.
I for one, will go to both!
  • Dragons supporters and Eels supporters should easily sell ANZ out.

      • It just makes sense. We could even start the parties now with every home game from now on.
  • Damn right, Hindy should make the call!

  • ANZ! It's not like Parra need the homeground advantage this year.

"Randy,  An interesting one.
I suppose coaches trust certain players or believe they're the best fit for the team, even if club form or a high minute count aren't there.
I'd choose you for x-factor even if you only had 5 minutes of form."

"Hoe, I dislike the idea that a player can be selected for Aust with only 480 club minutes on show...and not all of them good. How can he have form without playing?
Perhaps a rule that said 10 nrl games to be eligible for Aust would help everyone"
