The Parramatta Eels are pleased to announce the signing of experienced forward Jack de Belin for the 2026 NRL season, with an option in the Club’s favour for the 2027 season.

Parramatta Eels Head Coach Jason Ryles said de Belin will be a valuable addition to the team, bringing experience to a young roster.

De Belin has played 244 NRL games since his debut in 2011. He has represented New South Wales in State of Origin and made six appearances for Papua New Guinea, where his grandmother was born, playing a pivotal role in their victory in the inaugural Pacific Bowl Final.

  • Think JDB will be great for us! Playing some strong footy currently.

  • Well there we go, finally announced. I like it but only due to the years. We do need experience and he is playing good footy still.

  • Wasn't there some idiot on here who caught a rumour JDB back flipped and Parra settled for Emre Guler.

JDB is exactly what this team needs experience and solidifies the middle of the ruck touch wood.He still looks very active as a player. He's not the messiah but he definitely fills a need.I'd be starting him upfront with Paulo next year and I'd be running Tuivaiti and Moretti off the bench behind them to maintain and increase the momentum as needed.

    • Yeah Coryn, he can play big minutes at ease too. Great defender not missing many tackles.

I did have a theory that he could stay at St. George lol.

    • Will help us not get caught out in the ruck in the middle

      • Exactly Kenny, what we saw Sunday with Penrith just rolling through the middle De Belin will help. 98% tackle efficiency.

    • Someone just hacked Coryn's account again.

      • It's called not looking at the situation through a tunnel you should try it sometime.

    • Yep but he was worked out straight away that he was throwing hooks out and was told to goback to the Dragons forum
