This post just popped up on my Facebook feed under Group name, 'Parramatta Eels Legends'. Does anyone know who this is it?
Reading through the post's comments, they say it is about calling for an election and it is not about a particular candidate or ticket. They obviously have great intentions, but can they make it happen? Is it even possible to force an election? To be honest, I am not really sure how it works these days.
Make Parra Matter Again-Parra members let’s fix our club!
The Parramatta Eels, once a powerhouse of rugby league, have been mired in mediocrity for far too long. The familiar refrain of underachievement, coupled with poor decision-making, has left fans disillusioned and yearning for a return to the glory days.
It’s Time for a Change
A large group of Parramatta members and fans believe that the Parramatta Eels have the potential to be a dominant force once again. With a rich history, a passionate fanbase, and a strong junior base, the foundation for success is already in place. However, to realise this potential, we must address the deep-rooted issues plaguing the club.
The current administration has consistently fallen short of expectations. We have witnessed a decline in on-field performance, a toxic culture, and a complete disconnect between the club and its supporters and a disconnect with the community. It is clear that a fresh approach is desperately needed.
Our committee is dedicated to restoring the Parramatta Eels to their rightful place at the pinnacle of rugby league. We have a clear vision for the Club’s future, backed by a proven track record of success. Our plan focuses on three key pillars:
Regaining Control
The first step towards rebuilding the Parramatta Eels is to wrest control from the current governing body. The Club’s constitution currently restricts the power of voting members to hold the board accountable for football performance. This is unacceptable.
We will fight to change this, giving fans a genuine voice in the direction of the Club. By replacing four directors on the Parramatta Leagues Club board, we can establish a majority and begin the process of overhauling the entire organisation.
Rebuilding the Club
Our vision for the Parramatta Eels is built on a strong foundation of grassroots development, coupled with a relentless pursuit of on-field excellence. We will invest heavily in our junior pathways, ensuring that we produce homegrown talent capable of competing at the highest level.
Furthermore, we will create a Club culture that attracts and retains the best players and coaches. By fostering a winning mentality and providing a supportive environment, we will establish the Parramatta Eels as a destination Club once again.
Uniting the Parramatta Family
The Parramatta Eels have a rich history filled with legendary players and unforgettable moments. However, in recent years, there has been a growing disconnect between the Club and its former greats.
We believe that reconnecting with our past is essential to building a successful future. Our committee’s mission is to re-engage with former players, inviting them back into the fold, and leveraging their expertise to mentor and inspire the next generation of Eels.
By bringing together the best of the past with the promise of the future, we can create a unified Club that is capable of achieving greatness.
What You Can Do
We are calling on all eligible Parramatta Leagues Club members with a minimum of three consecutive years membership to join our movement. To initiate the process of change, we need you as a member to sign a request to trigger an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM).
Your vote is crucial. Together, we can create a brighter future for the Parramatta Leagues Club and the Eels on and off the field.
The Parramatta Members deserve a club that reflects its rich history and passionate fanbase. Let's work together to restore the club to its rightful place at the pinnacle of rugby league.
We need your help. To make this vision a reality, we require the support of the Parramatta Leagues Club members.
Please sign the request for EGM and forward back to us!
If you you would like to sign the form please message us on this platform.

I'll give you 1 guess.
I am guessing either Fitzy or Spagnolo?
Funnily enough , people insinuate they're a terrible option and the truth is they're no better or worse than the mob that are in at the moment. I never thought any administration could be as bad as the Spagnolo days. At least Roy had the balls to try to get us ahead at all costs. Even though he was terrible at the execution and was as slimy as a hookers sheets,
Now we have a bunch of vanilla numbers dorks at the top and a sex pest tigers reject pretending to know what he's doing managing the squad .
How old is Fitzy now anyways ? He couldn't be any older than Wayne Bennett . Bring back the Fitz , he can put a rocket up both boards . The fanboys and girls masquerading as board members are no competition for big Denis. Imagine Oneill and his silly lap dog Ben Rogers trying to justify their existence to Denis Fitz 😂😂😂
My first thought was why would either Fitzy or Spagnolo bother running a fan based Facebook page? I guess they could have someone do it for them but I doubt it.
They have a billion followers that'd do it for them. One thing Fitzy has is willing deciples , he's a true political powerbroker. Thats why the people with interests in the current board are still jumping at shadows in fear of him challenging. In reality he's probably sitting back letting others start rumours and just enjoying himself watching people all in a tizzy worrying about him.
Old Spags would have his loyal wogs with intrests in him getting into a position of power too. league Unlimted used to ban anyone that dared mention him being inept. They were his own personal cheer squad. That little midget Stagger Eel would ban you instantly if you said anything bad about him. Think they're related as they look similar. Stagger is just like a Spagnolo with a disability version. Like a Spags with dwarfisim
Wiz I get your point bud. I'd prefer Fitz in there somewhere tbh. Old Spags has too much bad blood I feel. We need a Fitz type person to seize things and make some strong decisions. The board need a strong person to advise them on things I feel as MON just ain't cutting the mustard. Never has
Yeah Spags is crook . He was just in there to divvy up the clubs assets and filter them off to his interests . Slimy little bugger.
But The Fitz , he has clout . Would've forgotten more than these dickheads know.
Agreed - I didn't always agree with Fitz and particularly pre- super league when we were fcked for yrs and then bang he spent big to get Ritson / C'bury players etc. one thing he had was the ear of the hierarchy of the ARL. He was an ego and had the backing.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Finally you've come around.
