Parramatta Eels Extend Kelma Tuilagi

The Parramatta Eels are pleased to announce that second-rower Kelma Tuilagi has signed a one-year contract extension, keeping him at the club until the end of the 2026 season.

Tuilagi has been an integral part of the Eels' forward pack since joining the club last year and his re-signing ensures that the team will continue to benefit from his hard-hitting style of play.

Parramatta Eels General Manager of Football, Mark O'Neill, praised Tuilagi's impact on the team.

“Kelma is the kind of player we want in our squad—tough, competitive, and can break a tackle. He looks at home at the Eels and we’re excited to have him on board for at least another year.”

Tuilagi made his NRL debut in 2021 and represented Samoa in the 2022 World Cup.

  • If the price was right then I have no issues with a year extension.

    • Regardless of price, it would be too big for one year, it is a low-risk deal for us. He looked promising, he seemed to put in the hard work and just needs work on defence. Worst case he is a handy bench forward to come in and make some impact. I have no issues with Tuilagi staying at all, similar to you Badger, good deal.

    • Saw kelma doing sprint training by himself at a local park. If you put in the work, there's no reason you can't be at parramatta

  • That is 17 players confirmed in our top 30 for 2026. Plus another 4 more with options.

    • Do you feel this will be a big year for the juniors EA? Penisini and Guymer have deals for 2026 already. Tuivaiti perhaps? Pryke might turn heads. Ryley Smith if he continues his pre-season as is.

  • The only way you'll earn an extension under Ryles is if you're doing the right things at training especially in defence

  • It's a BUKAKE party....

  • I thought Kelma showed more positive signs than negative as the season went on.

Not sure if his role will be as a starter or as an impact edge forward to break games and add energy.

We'll see. He's definitely good enough to contribute significantly.

  • Good extension.

Can start or be effective off the bench.

  • Yeah not unhappy with this, shows promise just needs to improve defensively

He should of been a world class centre by now, and I honestly thought he would of been when he 1st came onto the scene.
I do hope Ryles can get him there but not sure if a change of club is what…"

"Samrani is a winner...it would be interesting to see his W/L record with him in the team.   Penisini has had a good NRL career so far...he is not a world class centre or even one that can be a clutch player ...hes best games are solid 7/10..
