  • Julia Gillard, loves her Rugby League...
  • Congrats to the guys that have made it!
Interesting to see Tahu selected though given his average form of late.
  • It was probably written into his contract ,before he signed, that he has to be named in the NSW and Australian squads, as an incentive to return to the fold!
Similar to the Wendell Sailor, Lote Tuquiri, and Matt Rogers Rugby Union contracts!
  • Congrats to the boys, do the Blue and Gold proud, while wearing the Green and Gold!
  • Awesome for Ben Smith!!
  • True, but he doesn't really deserve it to be honest.
He hasn't had the best year, and the last thing we'd want is for his aggressive nature to come out, and he gets a ban for the start of the 2011 season.
    • Fully agree Ricky, have been and always will be a fan of the Tahu-Monster, but realistically , he shouldn't have even been in contention this season!

Dont get me wrong, IMO he is one of the most destructive centres going around, on his day, but i dont really think he had his day this year, and i really dont think his head is in the right place either!

Personally i would have preferred him to have the entire off-season to sort his head out, get his mind and body in the place it needs to be, and come out all guns blazing and show everyone that he's back in 2011!
      • Good point ToMmYbOy. TT does not look as if his head is in the right spot at the moment. I watched him closely on the weekend and i know this is a very small observation but when the boys came out after half time they all lined up on the half as we were kicking off, TT however had jogged way back to the goal line to receive the kick, then he realised his mistake and came jogging back. Just made me think "wheres your head at wheres your head"
I love the T, i love his power, he is a mans man and i like a to see a big powerful man use his strength to his advantage on the field (maybe because i used to love catching those slippery little shits called half backs when i was a lock and had to stop the half from the scrum). But yes I think he needs a good break and heal his body and mind, he can still be in the top 4 centers in the game.
      • I too agree with this post.
I think it was evident from the start of the year that Tahu struggled and it didn't help his cause with the several problems that got in his way, and his undue Origin selection.

I too agree that with a full and solid off-season, he can come good in 2011 and get back to his destructive best.

"Yeah people are confusing "won't hold up in court" with "illegal".
Non compete has a high legal threshold so it's really hard to enforce. So these rules may be impotent. But they're definitely not illegal.
At best these rules act as a deterrent. At…"

"The NRL can set its own rules. However it can't stop players signing with R360. That would be a restraint of trade. But the NRL is within its legal rights to determine who it registers and who it does not. So by all means sign with R360, but the NRL…"
