  • Who is this Scott Schulte?.
    • Scott Schulte is a tremendous, young player.

Can cover wing, centre and back-row. Played almost exclusively in the back-line for the Cowboys this year. Was in the top 3 for tries scored for the team. Finished 2nd or 3rd if I recall correctly.

Tall, rangy player. Good footy brain, good footy smarts and has a great awareness and passion for the game. Good head on his shoulders, a great attitude towards footy and most importantly, a tremendous work-ethic.

Quality addition to our side and I'd have him as a smokey for a wing spot next year.

    • Cheers mate. Did anyone expect this signing
  • Now there's a massive surprise.

I am sooooooooooo excited I fell asleep typing this and had to wake myself up to finish it.

Will be more than interesting to see what Brad has in mind for Cornish though.

  • All one year deals? Didn't realize kelepi was still only 21 if he gets his head right he has the potential to be a good player.

All in all decent backups who I'm guessing are all on second tier contracts and are young and help strengthen depth in key areas that we were short ( mainly the halves and outside backs ).

    Still no gutherson?
  • Just realised - Shulte must be the "GUN" centre we have been chasing.

17 tries in 21 games certainly ranks him.

    • In Toyota Cup
    • Haha sorry
  • The Dyldam Parramatta Eels have today announced the signings of Mitch Cornish, Kelepi Tanginoa and Scott Schulte for the 2016 season.

A halfback and five-eighth, 22 year-old Cornish will join the side from the Canberra Raiders, where he made his NRL debut in 2014 and was named in the 2015 NSW Cup Team of the Year.

21 year-old Tanginoa will return to the forward pack of the Eels from one season at the North Queensland Cowboys, after making his first grade debut in Blue and Gold in 2013.

He will be joined by 20 year-old versatile outside back Schulte, who was part of the Cowboys’ Holden Cup squad this season.

“These three players will add a lot of depth in key positions to our side for 2016, and I’m looking forward to having them here in November,” Eels Head Coach Brad Arthur said.

“I’m sure we’ll have a very healthy competition for a place in our first grade side this season, which will only improve our team.”
  • 3 good picks ups that will add depth to the squad.
