Parra was never going to be allowed to win

First 20 minutes the ref gave Melbourne 4 penalties to gout 18 nil, we fight back 18 10 at half time. They rule forward pass to give them he ball and then a bullshit penalty to score we fight back again so they put Chrissy in the bin.The nrl always wants Melbourne in the 8 and will do anything to make it happen. We made plenty of mistakes today but the refs gave us no chance, another nrl stitch up.

  • You can say that again the Cheats

  • storm are the protected child of the nrl, if they don't make the top 8 the nrl is shaking in their boots about other codes competing

  • They actually were up 6 - 0 in the penalty count at 18 - 0

    I think possession was around 65% - 35%

    • They were never at 6-0. We got the first penalty in our favour 2 minutes in.

  • Why was Sandow binned?
    • Apparently he said something the ref wasn't happy about. Not sure what it was but I suspect it was what we were all thinking.
    • He said "how much are they paying you". The ref commented to Hayne that this was what Sandow said. Seems a fair question.
  • Agreed, so many Bullshit calls.
  • Disagree. Don't be bad losers. We were terrible, made a lot of mistakes and have always been known to give away penalties in the last three years. We also one of the best teams at making errors at the times to put the most pressure back on us. We are hot and cold this season, but I still prefer it to the last two.

    • Tim, u have pretty well summed it up. Putting the B&G bias aside, the better team won. We were beaten by a better side on the day & we also helped beat ourselves.

The Storm forwards showed our boys up. Cam Smith & Billy Slater had a field day. Goodness knows what the final score might have been if Cronk was on the paddock.

Many fans r quick to bag Billy & put Hayne on a pedestal but in all fairness, Billy showed what a class act his is & Hayne had a mixed game. I'm sure Hayne would be the first to admit that this was not one of his better games, but he will bounce back next match, no risk.

      IMO, watch out Newcastle.

Parra fan on The Hill replied to Offside's discussion Samrani vs Penisini
"Other way round if it were to be. Penisini is too slow for the wing.
Wouldnt drop Simo. His hit ups are good and he works hard.
Anyway..Samrani 1st drop for injuries or suspensions. Not bog average Brian Kelly.

"With over 100 nrl games in difference with samrani and will P .  I like samrani puts himself in the game and has a physical presence about it. Will has definitely worked on increasing his pace and defence but Samrani not that far behind him now . "
