Of course we have more than 200k. I never believed that crap all along. I reckon we were in a bidding war with the Knights for Klemmer. I still reckon we'll get someone out of Tapau, Napa, Wile.O' from Bronco's,or someone else. We still could off-load a player or two. We still haven't finalized our top 30 & anything can happen.
I just can't believe that in this big wide world, that we can't find a big, aggressive, no-nonsense hard running front-rower who'd run through brick walls just for the opportunity to prove himself & earn a contract. Have we even got people contracted by our club who are on the lookout for players that we need to fill certain positions in our squad?
Once Alvaro & Jnr come off to rest after the first 20 mins, WE ARE ROYALLY SCREWED. But Tim Mannah & Kane Evans will come on & save us. Yeah right, they'll save us with dropped balls, missed tackles, NO OFF-LOADS, & a bunch of penalties.

I reckon both stories are true... I'd heard he (or his management) had been offered 500K and knocked it back.
The we've only got 200K left in our cap for 2019 is probably true, but it would've been easy for us to shift 300K forward (and back end someone else's deal) to validate the offer of 500K to Hayne for cap purposes.
The greedy bugger spoiled it for himself, and finds himself without a deal at a time he's in big trouble with two unresolved sexual allegations on his head. Very dumb not to have negotiated/signed before the end of the season Jarryd... but dumb seems to be his middle name.
