"I understand why they moved him to prop, his ball playing at lock was atrocious after coming back from his back injury. There was a few of us on here pleading for them to move him to prop to simplify his game and that worked.

"yep he is not a battering ram. He needs to be at lock to be fully effective. Needs that offloading game back too.
Koina will hopefully back his debut next year and everyone will see why many here rate him at a top 3 prospect at our club"

"Now is the time to chase Ponissi, Storm losing players, Munster and Grant going to market. Bellamy moving on, no real candidate to replace him."
"He will be on close to 800k a year at the broncos. I'm sick of the rich top clubs flaunting the fucking rules."

I think there is a chance he goes, his last comment about contract was he was in no rush to extend. Unlike Bostock who has mentioned he wants something done by November 1.
I still reckon Howarth is still a chance though. But if Blaize comes available, could be a nice place holder til Best comes in 2028 if we get him.
Just throw the $1mil his way and get it done.
With the new cap, could get away with a million dollar Centre.
Best isn't a million dollar centre
He isn't, but in our state at the moment we have to overpay to get some quality unfortunately.
Signing Best at least can help with other signings in the future.
There are only one Centre worth a mil, that is Farnworth. But with the new cap, $1 mil could be equivalent to what $850k is now.
he was only asking newcastle for 800k and they said no, maybe 850k with a ratchett clause would get him over the line
Few years in the making. Let's hope this eventuates.
Be a very big signing if we could player swap either Will or Joash to get him early that would be great.
Like Mitch he won't play every game but if managed right could be enough to get us up the ladder
Why would Newcastle allow a swap for Joash? When firstly they have 3 quality players that can play Fullback and also Best is an international?
I was looking at it from players that we would want gone.
Penisini is a likely option maybe Simmo
