Parra and the 49ers

I dunno if I read this correctly but it seems like Parra amde considering of making a deal with the SF 49ers and having a 5 year deal with them, both reaping in the rewards from the Haynemaina that's sweeping across the Western Seaboard of America. What I like to know is what deal are the Eels considering of making with the 49ers? I know it has something to do with JH, is Parra giving JH five years before he heads back to NRL (to play for Tigers...joking)? The Teletoiletpaper didn't say much except that Eels and 49ers are making deals...WHAT DEALS?

JH is literally a walking piggy bank for both clubs. If he continues with his NFL venture, he can rake in big $$$$$ with his clothings and with himself then come back to NRL and rake in more $$$$$ with his clothings and with himself. Question begs again: what is the deal that Parra is making with the 49ers? Anyone know about this?

  • Probably something with promotion. Promoting our team and vice versa
    • Think that's the deal and damned good deal too. I'll be for that having the 49ers like a sister club kinda thing.

  • Monster please "both reaping in the rewards from the Haynemaina that's sweeping across the Western Seaboard of America" well having spent time in SF last year during your "Haynemania" statement allow me to enlighten you on some home truths. Yes Jarrod is known within SF but is more commonly referred to as "The Aussie guy who came from Rugby", I was in SF the day Jarrod got punted back to the practice squad and it barely rated a 10 second bite on Sports Centre that evening. Yes Jarrod's #38 jersey was the 5th highest selling jersey in the NFL last season, are you aware that over 80% of the sales of his jersey were on line sales that were shipped back to Australia.

Haynemania as you call it is alive and well in Australia but as far as the yanks are concerned he is the "Aussie guy from Rugby".

Whilst not privy to any discussion between the Eels & 49ers, I think what you may find is a sharing of marketing idea's, training techniques and maybe some reciprocal visit and learn trips between the 2 organisations.

    • Wow I thought he was the next big thing, thanks for bursting my JH balloon, now I have to come up with another idea...I do like the idea of 49ers and Eels sharing ideas and visits from players from both sides
