You'd have to say this Rugby 360 thing is starting to get real....
Ryan Papenhuyzen had played his last game for the Melbourne Storm after being granted an immediate release to consider his future.
Papenhuyzen, who has been widely linked with rebel Rugby in a competition R360, has been a fixture at the Storm during a highly successful period for the club.
He had one year remaining on his deal with an option for a further season, but has opted to become the second Storm player to depart in two days, following Jonah Pezet signing with Parramatta for next year before he is due to join the Brisbane Broncos on a long-term deal.

Was more like storm pushed him out the door so they can sign Tino, Paps hasn't been good in a while
He was Melbourne's best in the GF
Flick pass behind back for no reason cost them the game, got drilled by Walsh in last few minutes to. Just not what he used to be. Indifferent season for paps
Wouldn't surprise if he's actually looking at retiring. The guy has had so many injuries and it doesn't sound like he's actually got anything lined up for next year.
A few games a year for R360 is perfect for him. He won't be getting smashed by defences 20 times a game and wt paid more. Smart decision then he can retire few years earlier with same money
Do 1-2 years in R360 where possibly not as hard on the body as a Fullback, could be wrong as i have never had anything to do with Union, then retire after that. If he is offered the same as what Lomax has been, $3mil AUD, he can get more in 2 years than in 7-8 in League.
Im told we've secured him for sunday games and are in discussions for a few Friday night games .
Lol everyone wins
No no Wiz, you are wrong. He needs knee surgery so we signed him for pre-season training to be experienced head in lock room, he will only be in rehab, no training. Then come time when he is fit he has agreement in principle to join R360. Like getting a bird with a broken wing and healing til they fly away.
He should head back to the Tigers...then again...
