Isaiah Papali’i today rejected a 2 year extension ($425k a year) from the Eels. Informed club he is hitting open market Nov 1

Wests Tigers have signalled their intention to make offer up to $600K

Parramatta are willing to upgrade his $200,000 contract to about $275,000 next year, but the Eels aren’t budging on their $425,000-a-season offer as part of a two-year extension for 2023 and 2024.

Papali’i’s manager notified the club on Friday that his client has opted to formally reject their offer and instead hit the open market on November 1 when he is free to negotiate with rival teams.

The club has lost the plot.

  • If that figure is correct well it's  as dumb as dog shit. Your overall star player of the year and you lowball him. We will keep failing if this continues. How much is super coach on ?

      • This is all on Mark O'Niell!

        • No it's all Bushies fault. If he didn't keep improving these damn forwards their value wouldn't increase and we could keep them all

          • How dare he make Mark O'Neill's job so hard

            • MO has done a fine  job so far. The next few months we find out what he's worth

        • O'Neil could go hard for either Papa or Marata and definitely lose the other or try his best to keep both. One will probably go but at least  let him make an effort

    • He plays a non essential position, you don't pay top dollar for edge forwards, centre's or wingers

      • So if the Tigers offer Papa 1million a season he's  going to say " oh no I can't take that much I'm  in a non essential position"   Great arguement.

        • What ?

He can take whatever he wants, but good luck finding anyone offering him that kind of money, not even the Tigers are that stupid.

Wait ...... not even the Tigers are that stupid.

"Warriors — highest completions, lowest error count in the comp.
Us — Polar opposite, overall. 4th worst for completions. 4th worst for errors and ball handling. It's cost us in the grind, and a few wins.

"Yep, they won 10 / 13 to start the season. Were Second. Since then, they've struggled won 4 / 9.  Clinging on to fourth but vulnerable.
Losing Metcalf/ Barnett seems to have hit. They were also a better team with Walker even if Erin Clark has…"

Warriors have no halves to speak of that's all there looking for is much the same as us.
