Tom Opacic is on the verge of being called up to the Maroons to play centre and try and to nullify Latrell Mitchell.
I hope he does and I hope he plays out of his skin, very underrated player.

Would be great experience for him.
I had this thought last weekend - good to see players like Tom coming to Parra and improving their footy - I think Qld will need more than that to win but from a personal perspective I hope he gets the call up - good luck Tom
You may as well pick me.. love what Opacic brings to Parra but Origin is very different...
Opacic has been great for us but he would get destroyed by Mitchell if he has to go up against him in SOO.
if it happens, good luck to him. I reckon he'll be solid for them. Not much of a threat though with ball in hand, solid defensive centre though, Qld must be hoping to not get beat by quite as much! Sorry Opacic, hope we rack 50+

The fact Bennett conjured up last year's win means he's nowhere near past his best in the Origin arena.
Wayne Bennett is still the smartest coach in the game . When it comes to coaching a QLD team there has never been a better applicant past or present than WB even the 2021 version of him.
Queensland are going to get pumped again next Wednesday and there's no way Tom's going to be able to stop Latrell or Turbo. It will be great experience for him to join the team and looks good for the club to turn him into an Origin player...
But, this could be as equally destructive if they lose and his confidence takes a dive.
