I keep tell all of you that the NRL is looking to move international, but most here are in denial!
Again here is another example of Greenberg trying to get NRL to the US and China.

Todd Greenberg is determined to get the NRL into both the U.S and Chinese markets.
Won’t work . The time to get into the states was back when the shoulder charge was legal . There is very little about the game these days to attract a new market to the game . The fact AFL is in massive growth in NSW tells you where the games at .
Back in the mid 00s we had a bunch of Yanks out from our U.S offices and I took them to a game at Telstra . They were blown away by the big hits in our game and the guys weren’t wearing helmets etc . They thought it was the best thing ever and couldn’t believe blokes were getting back up . They didn’t even ask about the rules of the game .
its closer than most think here.
America is the same distance today as it was 100 years ago .
Sounds like the 1988 SOO they took to US which nobody turned up to. This is looking to generate interest in RL in US, not to have a US team in the NRL. I understand they already have one in UK SL anyway. The Club Challenge is probably a good start. I wouldn't want to see Parra having to fly over there for a club game though.
Do you honest think Todd Greenberg cares about the players travelling there? All they see are the dollars! Especially with a minimum 12,000,000 license fee for each new club.
