Snake, how dare you be a New South Welshman and say QLD will win. You may be thinking realistic but still QLD haven't won in Sydney for a few years mate.
LOL i know super, and i do think we will match them in the forwards and have a real crack, but for my way of thinking we just dont have the x-factor in the halves like qld do.
Having said that the first games of origin is always close, i do think we can win, but id QLD play to their full potential we will get dusted, it will all come down to Pearce and Malloney imo.
QLD's key lies in Cameron Smith. He runs that team and allows the halves to play the way they do. Slowing him down slows QLD down and I think with a highly mobile pack we can do that. Pearce and Maloney have a good club combination which is what we've needed for a while. Carney hadn't played alongside Pearce for some time when he played last season.
Farah has now played alongside Pearce and Hayne. I think the Blues finally have the combinations and polish in their backline to punish QLD.
To slow down Smith you need to slow down the forwards and wrestle them as much as possible when being tackled, get the line set and get your second marker to then slow down Smith.

C'mon Snake we need belief!! you believe don't you?
"I wouldn't mind him. I like your idea of using him as the Dylan Walker type.
I think we might go for Galvin, but if we don't then I see the club waiting on Fletcher, Talataina to mature into the halves. Until they do, I can see us signing a guy…"
"Everyone saying no would flop their dicks out and start stroking the moment he signed.
To me it's a no brainer. If he's available and is keen to play under Ryles and with Moses, it's a massive yes from me. We need a wrecking ball that can run hard…"
Should eels make a play for Sandon Smith, Roosters will let him go with DCE coming in next year. They rate Savala & Rodwell with Walker as futures.I see we could use Smith as a 14 role. Also kicks goals. Very quick.Ryles would have a relationship…
