Number 2 or Number 4?

NUMBER 2 or NUMBER 4 for ZAC LOMAX?

When Zac Lomax was asked on the @joelfletchsen show on @1170sen yesterday he gets handed a blue and gold jumper what number is on his back? His answer without hesitation was number 4. @joel_caine then asked do you want to go back to the centres? Zac’s response was yeah number 4.

Would you have Zac play for Parra on the wing where he played his career best footy or move back to the centres?

  • I bet we play him in centres and he goes backwards from his heights on the wing. By mid season when we are around the bottom 4 we will try to move him back to where he plays at an elite level (wing) and he will play ok but never reached the heights of this year. Papers will say he never should have left dragons etc etc.

  • If he's happier in the centres, I'd have no hesitation in giving him the 4.  We've lacked defensive awareness in that position for so long and Zack will provide this.

Also, there's no reason why he can't still compete for the high ball in scoring positions in the centres

    • 💯 agree. Generally people perform best when they are happy. Give him a 4 and give him a license to roam, especially if Iongi is still green at the back in no.1. Similar to what Turbo was given in one of the SOS games where he had a blinder.

  • Can some one confirm if the numbers got up last night for that extraordinary meeting that was proposed? I'm hearing it has and now it's been sent to the lawyers for clarification.

    • Over 400 signatures. Now the board is seeking legal advice before they announce the date.

  • Lomax is a quality player who will probably shine at either centre or wing. I'm interested to see what sort of combination he would form with Sivo as a trusted inside man for the Fijian has been lacking for some time.

    • Sivo plays on the left. Penisini will likely move to the left with Lomax at right centre.

      • That's what i reckon too, Penisini moving to the left. Could be good for him.

  • Has to be centre as we are lacking a quality one.

I dare say he will carry his brilliant form into any position considering how high his confidence is.

With the Dogs chasing Mulitalo, we could potentially land JAC or Wilson to play on the wing.

    • If we want JAC we could get him to be fair. Wilson on other hand might be more difficult but if he wants to start he might be easy to convince now, beforehand not so much. The Dogs would be hard to convince.
