  • Agree. McManus selection is rubbish! Mansour shouldve been given a crack i reckon
  • I rate McManus over tupou. Tupous debut was10X worse then McManus
  • Hi Ham, I was hoping Josh Mansour would get a chance. McManus is very experienced so it will be interesting to see how he goes. Still not sold on Tamou. IMO he needs to pull his finger out & step up to the plate.

As a side comment, its strange that the form team in the NRL hasn't got a Blues Rep.

    • Agreed MP, part of the reason the panthers are still sitting atop the ladder at this point of the season is that they have not had their team disrupted over the origin period. I'm sure their fans don't mind one little bit that they have no representation in SOO.

  • McManus is rubbish, would much prefer Mansour got a gig.  Or Tafua.

  • I've got a feeling we're going to get hammered in this one. Cronk is back, QLD players returning from injury, it's being played at Suncorp.  Meanwhile NSW has already won the series and whilst a whitewash would be nice it's no longer essential that we win. QLD by 20.

    • What does that say about Fairy-Evans....dumped after one game for a guy with a broken arm.

  • Have to agree with McManus who has done nothing this year...even Uate has been playing 10x better than him. Being a dead rubber could not see any justification in not giving Mansour a go.

  • McManus, Cordner and Lewis. All very lucky to be there.
    • Can anyone name someone better than Lewis as back-line utility that can also hold their own in the back row?

I struggle.  Lewis can come on and play 20 minutes and make an impact with great line speed in defense, and solid running in attack, and he can also slot into 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 if entirely necessary.

Who else can do that?  Legitimate question.  Buhrer?  Idris?  Scott?

For example, in game I we had both Morris brothers play through injury, and in game II we had Hopoate play through injury.  Had any of those been forced from the field, we could've survived because Lewis could've come on and filled in satisfactorily.  If your bench is Tamou, Merrin, Cordner and T-Rex, you're up shit creek.
