Even, the totally incompetent David Smith knows that Jarryds success is a huge cash cow and marketing dream, so what are the Eels planning to do? (should already have underway)

I hope the club are working on this 24/7 and it is seen as a top priority, because this is a enormous opportunity in so many ways for the Parramatta football club, that the NRL are hijacking and wanting to own.

I have no doubt if Jarryd was a former Bronco, Storm, Rooster, Rabbitoh or Bulldogs player, they would be all over every aspect of how to best utilise and market his success for their clubs brand, not the NRLs. To date, I have yet to see any evidence to suggest Jarryd Hayne = Parramatta Eels when his name/history is mentioned. That should be priority number 1 from the club's marketing team.

Have we even contacted the 49ers to clarify this when Jarryds "rugby" background is mentioned on their website? Have we sent them over some merchandise?... (try to get someone photographed wearing an Eels jersey or cap) I hope the club is doing everything possible to form a relationship with the 49ers. Imagine being aligned and having the support from a sporting franchise of their magnitude.

I can't help but think, that unfortunately we don't have the required personnel at the club who actually have the experience and know how, to do this on the scale that is required. The possibilities are mind blowing. Could the 49ers be a potential sponsor? Privatisation down the track?......

A massive global opportunity missed for the Eels if it plays out like that, and Jarryd becomes David Smith's international poster boy for the NRL.

  • Any benefit will somehow be included under the salary cap.

  • I heard somewhere that they want the 49ers to play a game in Sydney. Not sure the chances of this happening, but a game at Parra could be good.
    • Parramatta, Jarryd Hayne and 49ers should collaborate so Eels members get first dibs on any tickets to this game before the pre sale and general public sale, that's if the game happens

  • I think the eels are going to send ryan Morgan and Luke Kellyto San Francisco to spread rugby league gospel over the off season.
  • Simple. Trail game early next year between Eels and Bunnies. Showcase Haynes Eels and Russell Crowe ' Bunnies.
    • Or Todd Greenburgs Bulldogs.

    • No one in the states know Todd.
  • But you do know the NRL is run by Incompetent fools. Greenburg is one of them.

They don't do anything that makes common sense.

  • aren't we still paying Hayne... lol wtf

  • perhaps just a demonstration, like the recent soccer games
