  • This is great research and great to see the data. The Knights and the Warriors are the 2 big ones here to compare against.

Difference is they 'fessed up to the NRL (& warriors still lost 4 points). Our self interested "leaders" (note inverted commas) still aren't taking accountability and have consistently denied, even worse, lied to the NRL. Unfortunately a precedent needs to be set and our Board's attitude has made it worse. We'll cop at least double the 4 points. My personal opinion is they will decide in the next 2 weeks and remove whatever points we have to date - so 8 to 12 points. (I assume our for and against is zero too? Anyone know?)

Let's say then we are on zero after 8 rounds. We need 28-30 points to make the semis. We get 4 points from byes. So we will need to win 12 out of 16 games. Bloody tough.
    • Pretty hard but with this squad not impossible. In fact I like our chances if we can stay healthy.
Plus the side may even lift further after the NRL hand out the punishment. If we could do it it would be the greatest achievement by any side in the NRL for quite sometime - probably 09, our end of year run.
    • Who really cares if they reported it or not when it comes to a penalty for the team. I know it matters when you are looking at sanctioning the club as a whole but why should the NRL footy team be deducted more points if it is determined that there is some element of deceit by people employed by the club.

Unless you can establish that the players were in on it I don't think that the fact of reporting or not should matter when it comes to points deduction.

  • This really is excellent work moff, wouldnt it be incredible if the telecrap and others reported this so as to introduce some fairness and impartiality into the situation,i believe reading some of these facts present a precedent set situation and would leave room for a smart legal eagle to mount a good challenge if we are treated differently to past similar instances !
  • Send this to Todd Greenberg.
  • For sure.

  • If they bend us over and remove 10points from our season, can we take legal action and use these precedences as examples in our defence?
    •  Blaze : If the NRL even blinks at us we should go to the law. I am assuming that Sharp and the board have arranged that to happen automatically---knowing Sharp and the board for their incompetence they may be still in the dark. Declare war. Concede nothing. Fight the NRL every which- way. Take it to the High Court if necessary. See who says uncle first!

If the NRL is to interview our board, get them to come to Parramatta and do the interviewing in our club. We are not children called into an interview with the Headmaster in his office. The NRL should come to us. The NRL should also be prepared to take questions from us and answer our questions--if the NRL will not agree then all meetings are off till they do agree.

  • Yeh the press have been as bad as gets covering all this. Failing to mention and discuss other clubs and comparing and contrasting. Real scum bags
  • Great work! I reckon we should be posting this on every article we see written by these incompetent journos. It's about time we started fighting back against these propaganda pushers
