The fact Tandy was the last person caught just shows how poorly it's monitored. Are we supposed to believe that the hundreds of players since him are so squeaky clean it hasn't happened since ?
Please ... I know it's hard to prove , but it ain't impossible if you're willing to open the can of worms.
its regarding Douehi & Marshall had a heated exchange at training, push n shove sort of. The Marshall era not looking good. He will not be there in 2026 i think
To be honest, as an NRL fan talking, BA is perfect for Wests. Benji is not handling coaching but also not handling other aspects such as media, team decisions, fan backlash etc. Plus the reports of cliques I reckon are true. Now people will say what's wrong with pairing up with premiership winners and having favourites when Bennett had similar? Well true but at same time Bennett knew how to get away with it, Benji doesn't.
Api coaches the team, that is why Benji wanted him to stay. On a Tigers podcast I had a listen as I wanted to hear what they said about Da Silva, they said Marshall kept Api due to not having a leader or captain if he left. Ummmmmm Luai?
But Tigers is a tough job due to the soap opera of the place, hard for any coach nonetheless a rookie with no prior coaching experience to deal with. Arthur has gone through it before at Parra with salary cap scandals, board dramas, spoons, constant media pressure. He will walk into Wests and be able to block it out and not feel it.
Even as a 4-5 coach to just make them relevant, get to the finals, BA is the right coach for them. If they move Benji they need an experienced coach but one that is not a Madge like last time.
BA was the complete opposite of Maguire, too close with players to drop them for the team's best interest. There's one thing that's clear though, BA is a better option than Benji. The jury is out on whether he can adapt his game plan to the modern game, 12 years at Parra says no, although he's doing well in the UK with Leeds keen to extend him. Of the available options, what have the Tigers got to lose.
He doesn't even have to win a comp, it's putting the pieces in place to make them relevant, make them win again. BA would have learnt from Parra, but learnt the right things? Not sure.
But in terms of dealing with the media and fans while steering the ship he can do as he did it at Parramatta, until the end.
Wests will look at Burgess and also the new hot shot assistant like Hannay or Young, but not sure any would take it. Ryles wouldn't have even taken the Tigers job. Arthur would as he wants to be in the NRL and I think he would not see the challenge as too daunting.
It's a career killer for any of the young coaches. Agree BA is hardened to clubs in turmoil, he did a good when the Eels were at their low. Coryn, is bang on though, if BA has a shot at Manly he will take that.
Oh yeah you can see BA and Manly oddly enough just being a fit, even the colours suit him. Manly are coming for a rebuild, BA might be good for that but i think Manly should go the Ryles route and just blow it up with a young coach.
But exactly, Tigers are a poison chalis, bit like Gold Coast where a coach would look and say "Can i turn the fortunes?". Coaches like Hannay, Young, Burgess wouldn't touch them, Burgess may talk with Richardson but doubt he takes it. Willie Peters even, who i said Parra should have looked at before Ryles, will be a boom coach candidate i am not sure he even takes it, he might be picky like Ryles as Hull KR are doing well why rush into it? Wait for a better job. I could see Peters at Newcastle actually, think that suits him more.
Manky have already tried the hot young buck rookie with Barrett and then even Anthony Semen to an extent. Them punting junior up to Uncles team may even be the first step to getting dad to the Brookie. Contrary to others opinions , i could actually imagine BA making it a term that he's not coaching his kid at his next NRL club. Let's assume he is nepotistic for arguments sake, It'll be his last shot at redemption in the NRL , would you risk future millions of dollars to try to make a start out of your son for another what 3 or 4 years in exchange for sinking whatever career you may have left in NRL coaching ?
"Wiz, you're right.
I recently started using chat GPT to check typos (out of laziness) and they suggested hypens a lot for "clarity".
As an aside, there won't be much of a future for people who can't use or manage AI. Either that or be loaded,…"
"Let's say it was a cap thang, 100% of the time Cap rorts are only discovered when a whistleblower calls it out. Canterbury right now are tight as a fishes arsehole , wheras the Tigers would have no shortage of disgruntled ex employees.
The only…"

Brad Arthur's obviously pulling the strings there , just incase Jake and the other kid fail at Newcastle and he needs to get them a run at Wests .
