You guys are off your heads. Latrell is if not the best centre in the game, he's certainly the 2nd best centre in the game and you wouldn't take him. First 10 rounds of the season Souths were on fire off the back of Trell. Sure he's had his injury problems but he would absolutely help us win games through sheer freak talent
It's injury / suspension issues but also you have to handle Latrell with kid gloves or he'll get annoyed and act out. Eels just aren't capable of getting the best out of him. Latrell is very talented but the issues are just too much for parra to handle
My issue is we've been through this before with Jarryd. A brilliant but enigmatic figure capable as much at winning a match as he is going missing.
He's played 34 matches in the last 3 seasons. For comparison, Moses has played 40. In fact Latrell hasn't cracked more than 17 games in a year since he played for the Roosters.
I'd be more concerned outlaying a decent sum for a guy who turns 30 next year and has a history of soft tissue injuries than someone who turns 26 next year.
It's all well and good that Latrell can win you games, but it ain't worth much if he isn't on the field. Best has played 51 games (soon to be 52) over the last 3 seasons.
