Nrl 360 ~ Eels Portion

* Moses was going to be named on Tuesday but club decided to hold him out, still waiting on scan results but might not be as bad as media is making it sound.

* Brown contract saga still dragging but Knights offer will have contract clauses in it making it less attractive. Eels may keep him and rework a new deal with him.

* Hoops hates Parra 😂

  • Moses displacement is equivalent to USS Eisenhower but Brown & Volkman might just  have enough to distract Melb for long enough to have us deliver an honourabal effort.

    the pack must lead tho...

  • Benny Elias said Moses was hopeful about scans and reckons 1-2 weeks, his foot getting better daily.

Hooper made sure he said Brown is definately going and others around him said he's good as gone. So Chief is 100% right then, if Hooper says it is raining i would stand out there soaked before agreeing.

    • The rd 2 game is 2 sundays away so plenty of time there for Mitch. Hopefully he's good to go

      • 12 days, yeah that is a benefit of the back to back Sunday games.

    • LB Hooper also said that Brandon Smith will most likely go to the Rabbitohs so we might have a chance at landing the cheese.

  • Good about Moses. Fingers crossed.

Dyl saga with such an offer might still drag, but actually I am not bothered.

Moses is sorted, and all other players options have been either taken up or removed. So only Dylbags remains.

I think after a few reserves games with Hawkins, Twiddle, Volkman etc...playing we will feel easy about it. And having one saga only is quite nice, I don't mind it. It can drag.

    • Yeah seems this is just a freak week, come next week Moses back (Hopefully), Lane back and possibly Moretti too. Making the 17 look better overall.

      • Rd 3 u get the fox baby

      • We have quite a few players out from our best 17: I think Lane, Simmonson, the Fox, Moretti and Moses are all in our best 17 - that's almost a third of the best team out

  • What we must see in Melbourne and cough is a roll your sleeves up high completion good kick chase set defensive effort against Melbourne there's no way around it.

You know Melbourne are going to drag us into the deep end of the pool we have to deal with that or drown. The error ridden performances I saw during the pre season is a quick way to get lapped by a team like the Storm.

We need to show some real defensive resilience and for me this is an early test for Jason and his team he's talked about a new mantra all off season and we need to see signs of it.

Losing Moses is not great but it doesn't give the team an excuse to go down there and drop its bundle. If they do this and get lapped I fear for this season and it'll become to over reliant on its stars. When in all essence we need everyone to step up.

LB replied to Roy tannous's discussion David Fifita being shopped to rival clubs 👀
"Well that is the thing, if they ring a club and say do you want Fifita they have lost all leverage in that deal as they made the first move and look desperate, when desperate the other party will take advantage of that.
