  Our capitulation a make me think we will miss the 8, or scrape in and get thrashed in Game 1 of the Finals. Good teams don't capitulate repeatedly.

  completely agree Skipper, I can accept we can lose but we shouldn't be getting 46 points on us, those days should be over
  if we lost 36-20 than that's fine, but they were 1 try from 50
  we never get that close and if we do it'll be against Newcastle or Cronulla and it'll be very unlikely

  I think the context of the game is important. There was 8 points in it until Sandow is sent. then 18 points put on while we have 12 men. Cummins not only decided the game he also decided that the margin was going to be a big one.

  Your kidding? It wouldn't matter how good we played today the refs were never going to let us win. 5 straight penalties to gift them 18 points. Then when they couldn't score in the 2nd half they send a player to the bin. I thought they played outstanding considering they were up against the biggest cheats.

  Do to e so crucial, 6 points were from a forward pass, 6 points from a bs penalty, 18 were during a sin bin and 6 a min after sandow came back on, it just wasn't our day, we made a lot of mistakes but we generally defended well when you consider how, any tackles We made in our 20, so it could have been a lot worse.

  I prefer to look at some of the things that we were in control of - most notably our completions. We gifted sets and field position repeatedly with either errors or silly penalties. We can blame the refs as much as we like - but a genuine contender can still knuckle down with a man down and show a bit of mettle in defense. Top teams don't give up 3 tries with a "what do you expect when we are a man down" type attitude (not quoting anyone - just the general vibe given). We need to set ourselves a higher standard.

    Agreed. We were soft & totally outplayed. Imagine if Cronk was on the paddock!

    Some good points, but we also have to consider what was in control and what got taken out of our control. We were still in the game at 18 nil, two quick try's, a few completions and we were still contending. We made a lot of mistakes but made up for them with some tough goal line defence, most teams would have been down by double of what we were if they had their line attacked relentlessly. A few poor calls and we were out of the game. It's always going to be hard with 12 players, and 2 (or3) of the try's scored during that time were from a line straight where sandow should have been defending. Also, we lossed Mossop so our forwards were already taking on more than initially intended, and the 10 in the bin wouldn't have helped. The sin bin was what took us out of the game IMO.
