No more Black Cloud now

I am devastated about what was dealt out to us this date by the NRL. I am pissed that we have allowed ourselves to get in that position in the first place.  But now the penalty has been delivered, the ridicule and slandering has started and we will again be where the majority want us to be - in the gutter.

I see this as the new chapter that will change Parramatta Forever. The opportunity to cleanse the place and get people with suitable qualifications and skills into the key positions. We will get this right I know that.  It also gives us the opportunity to shed some players that would have been harder to move on in other circumstances. Opportunity comes knocking and some may take that opportunity.

The black cloud that has engulfed this great club and special playing group is finally lifted. You cant hang someone twice and everyone can now go back into their own holes and look for the next victim or story.  The Paul KENT'S of this world can feel proud and then be left with a hollow feeling becuase in the end of the day he didnt kill us off, he just made as better.

EVERY DOG has his day.  Ours is not that far off.  Through all this - we have underestimated the resolve and unity within the playing group and the leadership of BA.  One man you would go into battle with. Cop the medicine , fix the mess, and get on and do what we want to see - a highly competive team that doesn't give in.  Teams will continue to look over their shoulder because Parra will keep coming and if we fall short as they want us to fall short - we would have earnt the respect of a greater league population.

Fans show some class and hold together. Fans are the glue that holds clubs together.

  • too true mate. short term pain for long term gain!

    • it seems we have been in long term pain.

  • All of the black clouds have not disappeared yet. We still have the alleged $570,000 being over the cap this year to deal with and the possibility of needing to shed players plus the problem of trying to get the likes of Norman & Peats to sign and commit beyond this year :(
    • We should not shed players even if it stuffs this year
      Prioritise next year
    • And we still have slimy pieces of sh1t like Fitzgerald still lurking in the shadows. F@ck I hate that guy.

  • Hehe - Manly must be very nervous if reports that Foran is taking them to court for unpaid TPA are true.

Club had to have guaranteed the TPA for Foran to be suing them.

    Interesting times

  • The Storm and Bulldogs never fully recovered from their points being stripped

  • Good blog mate butI dont think the clouds been lifted yet and it wont be for as long as the remaining board is in power.

I do agree its a great opportunity for a fresh start, lets hope that happens.

At least if we win the comp next year they cant take it off us.

"Sorry should have clarified, 1998 NRL era.
I stuck to what i knew best. I love Luke Burt, still my favourite ever player, hence the dp. He didn't have that flashy skills like Hayne and was undersized but to accomplish 260+ games is an achievement…"

"Can you define what era / year your modern day starts from.
I took Jarryd Hayne on your survey, but I also loved Luke Burt as a team man. Luke Burt reminded me so much of little Paul Taylor, did so much work but never got the credit he deserved."
