      • If I watch the tape on Smith where I look to attack him is on inside pressure late in the count. He rushes out and I do wonder against Melbourne if Grant Hughes Munster and Fa'longo have something for that pressure.

Iongi will be key here communicating that and we can't afford tacklers left on the deck as I feel that also will be an indicator to when they attack the middle of the ruck.

Its also why I've been really watching first contact and the wrestle because the key here is limiting Harry Grant.

    • Coryn, in regards to Hopgood, I think he has finally recovered from his back injury. I think he is mentally over the injury which I believe was his biggest issue last year. He also looks fitter this year, which may also come back to full recovery from his injury. Ryles also seems to have simplified his role now Walker can be the ball player. I'm hoping he can get back to the form that got him selected for Qld.

    • Haaha yes he is Coryn. Never thought I would miss Russel if he ever left the Eels. There is a possibility of that happening now lol.

I am really worried when Smith gets off contract with TDS signed for 4 years on good money. Smith is my favourite player right now. All heart and effort.

You liked what you saw from Lorenzo?

      • Wait till they see him actually run .  That's his strength not his kicking game.  His POD to joash because he runs right to the line and then the late feet and lightening acceleration . Would have him take the line on once other than kick . But he is maturing as player and played the. Long game.

        • Yea that running game is electric

      • Want to see more but I'm in no rush to put him up just let him keep growing he's locked in now it's just a matter of getting him battle tested in reserve grade and then give him a shot next year.Sounds like he's the leading contender since we have pivoted to youth and development.

Its good to see the depth around the playing group as we can see we have more than the Roosters and the Sharks. There's only a couple of areas of the side that will be a work in progress.

      • I'm starting him at left centre over Brian Kelly I know that.

      • We got the Ryley/Tallyn contracts arse-about

    • I've always been a big supporter of Sean Russell and it's coming to fruition now, shame he is leaving. I attribute much of it to our coaching staff, I mean look at our entire squad across the park everyone is performing very well.

      • I always saw his value was his versatility but something has clicked with him and he now looks like a legit starting nrl quality centre.

He looks bigger faster and more physical as above something has definitely clicked for him and he'll be a loss to the playing group for sure 27 onwards.

"Pezet and Papa play 2 different styles. Pezet is basically there as a second organising half to take some of the load off Moses. He's far and away a better kicker, organiser and defender. I love Joash but he's not a first string half right now."
