Gotta be joking right, i've seen Purdy make some really good plays in the pocket. That system QB cameback in the 4th quater in an NFC championship game to take them to the Superbowl and went toe to toe with mahomes. The difference was that Kyle Shanahan makes the worst plays while leading in the 4th with too much timing on the clock. CMC helps, but come on Purdy has some of the best stats for just an system QB. If 49ers believed he was a system QB like Jimmy g he'd be gone after last year.
If you look at Shanahan's system, it is designed to be easier for a QB to handle. I did not say Purdy is a bad QB, he is very good but is simple in his play, not a gunslinger like Josh Allen or Mahomes. He is conservative in his play. System QB's still need to be good at what they do. Many see the term System QB as derogatory, Purdy himself found it to be a compliment, though the system may be QB friendly you still have to be able to play in order for it to be fully effective.
But if you actually read the news, many were very hesitant about the news of Purdy's extension, those who have watched and played the game more than you and i even said Purdy had to get a big deal but was way too much for the player he is. One 49ers fan who is a radio host declared the 49ers are in trouble from this deal. I think it is overreating as good QB's market is that much, if you have even a half decent QB you try and keep them.
I think fair game as he is a very good QB, i like him and the way he carries himself. I support Tampa Bay and if i had the choice between Mayfield or Purdy, i may go towards Purdy slightly as he is safe. If anything he reminds of Eli Manning in terms of playoffs as he lifts for those big games. Not saying he is like Eli fully as he is much better.
He is not gone from San Fransisco as he has gotten results. He came in for Garoppolo in 2022, was 5-0 in starts and Jimmy G signed a massive deal with the Raiders. Purdy was cheaper at the time and preferred to see it out with him and Trey Lance to see who would come on top.
Purdy is great but not elite. To each to their own but he is not in the calibre of Jackson, Mahomes, Burrows, Allen, Jayden Daniels even i think is heading towards elite if he has another season like last year. Purdy though could break top 10 and i would not complain though.
No he isn't the calibre of those elite qb's but he definitely isn't a system qb. He doesn't have the physical attributes of those guys but he makes up for it with good anticipation, good accuracy and the ability to read the defence and make decisions quickly.
You know who had the least amount of screen plays (easy throws to the side) last season, purdy, you know who had the most, mahomes.
LB don't be one of those guys.

Go find some YouTube channels that do film breakdowns on players, you will learn a lot more than watching any network show.
Ummm more than Colin Cowherd say similar that Purdy is great but not elite. I am saying he is very good, though at same time Shanahan's system is also perfect for him.
Though if you are going about telling me to watch real people talk NFL, Top 100 which is voted by NFL players, left Purdy off this year when he was 28 last year. Not just people on shows, a lot of the general public of NFL fans in the states say he is one and there is nothing wrong with it.
System QB tag is seen as some sort of insult, i think not at all. It shows a perfect marriage of scheme and QB. Purdy takes full advantage of it. If only Shanahan can keep his composure play calling in 4th quarter.
He reminds me of a better version of Alex Smith. When he left SF for KC, he became a wonderful QB, who rarely handed the ball over and was precise in his passing. Andy Reid helped his career.
Technically to some degree most QB's are system QB's in some way. Jimmy G was pretty good in SF now is a back-up outside of it. Shanahan's system worked for him. For Purdy being the better passer is getting much better results in Shanahan's system.
Plus you brought up about Mahomes, i like Mahomes, he is the best in the NFL right now, but man he is nowhere near Brady as many say he is.
