Well were we hoodwinked by Brandon Smith? He was the main one who mentioned us in the mix. Where is TCT, who to be fair are quite in the know said we did not want May at all. I was like well they know nothing, now i am like maybe they do.

Wests were way more desperate. Hell TCT may have been right that we did not want May and his drama. I felt on the side of would like him, but not for a massive price.
I am not gonna sit here and do what others do, which i cannot stand, and say he was shit anyway. He will fail at Wests etc. Nah i would have liked him to come to Parra, but at same time it is based on the need of a forward, either Prop or Edge i feel we have. If you are talented Prop and are available i would want them at Parra.
May does come with baggage, like at any point he could just leave the game or not put in 100%. Was Parra in a position to take a punt on him? I mean i was not opposed to it. But still there are options who could be better for us. Just hope Ryles and MON look at our squad and think we do not need another quality starting forward.
Brandon Smith knows a lot it seems ahaha. Maybe tried to ramp up the price from Wests. Heard from someone who knows Galvin they threw tons of money at him.
And hopefully we won't pay for forwards like that again. It was a strategy that almost worked until it didn't.
I'm glad we lost out for $700k/3 years. Maybe I'll eat my words, but I don't think he's worth that in today's game (likewise I don't think Junior is but no one is going to buy him from us).
"You can get an ok no.2 Hooker. Lets say 100% they went for Brailey, Starling and now Da Silva, all them are considered starting worthy. You can still get a decent back-up where Smith stays the starter."
"Mate, player agents setting their own market, $800k, for Galvin, $650k for da silver both truly have done nothing, besides the fact loyalty to the jersey, means absolutely nothing to them. Potential is worth the cost of a cup of coffee, and at those…"

There was some interest from us but it cooled
Maybe the price was too much in the end.
I mean thankfully, if we are keen on a Prop, it is one of the deepest positions on the open market.
Yeah I think that's right we were only interested up to a certain price point

$700k. Risky but could be worth it. We're paying Jnr over $900k
