Wallabies and New Zealand showed on Saturday night the spirit on how the game should be played. It was televised to each RU nation that every member of both teams embraced the National Anthem. No race or religion, just good old belting the tune out. What did the NRL deliver yesterday. A fraction of each team weakly sang the Anthem, and most did not bother at all, and that is down to Administration of the V'Landys and Abdo game. Race, religion and politics are now a feature of the NRL product along with the man bags, eye liner and brows. And what about the disastrous Swims half time debacle:

Wasn't Teddy on pre game?
Didn't see it, why was it a debacle?
You do realise that Wallabies and AllBlacks are national rep teams. right Alan, exactly the arena for an anthem....Why do we even play it at the GF?? There are only 3 states involved...The N in NRL doesn't make it national. We know where we are from and who we are. NRL only sing the Anthem to pump up the occasion.
Race, religion and politics are now a feature of the NRL...Do tell. I'd love to hear your specific complaints And those Manbags that seem to really get on your tits. Plz tell us more about this disasterous situation
Vlandys and Abdo blow goats. You probably do too
You know how it goes, Randy - gotta have something to whinge about....
Purity testing for Patriotism while sooking about the horror of Manbags.
I do love the idea quaint idea everyone singing the national anthem is a triumph and an absence of race and religious difference. And the implication that there's something wrong with expressing one's race or religion.
Well in theory it could have been a game of completely non Australian's, that said it is the National Rugby League and the nation happens to be Australian so singing the National Anthem is not out of the question.
Whether the players choose to sing it or not is not the issue......I personally dislike anyone not singing our national anthem but I am old and out of date......if they are playing for Australia I insist the players rehearse it and treat it like our "HAKA". if they dont I would immediately take those players off and replace them with Reserves who want to represent their Country. The players would be told this before they take the field I might add.
PS If they can't learn the first verse, take them into a "camp" to learn the words.....
PS 2 I agree with you in principle Randolph, well put, good to see you took your medicine this morning, no doubt Rice Bubbles without the snap and pop.... bit of crack in the morning doesn't hurt anyone!
The N in NRL is for "Not Really"...East Coast only, so perhaps ECRL...and don't fucking Perth me, they are a hopeful transplant.Tried it before.. East Coast Rugby League, but not even...Imagine Vic state of origin team...The Storm are fucking transplant patients who lived. The sport has no roots there.
NSWQRL sounds less Grande' tho doesn't it
Randy believes all folks should sing more things more often...it's joyful. , but Forcing anyone to sing anything is just Fucked Up
Even if that song is 'Happy Happy Joy Joy'?
Can I duet with Sshtimpy??
I will take that over trying to sing along to Kate Bush et al
I have intrusive musical thoughts regularly.so I just roll with it
