Looks like we will get shafted once again, I wonder if the NRL would step in if it was the Tigers pushing to get Lomax

            • 100 Jim's straight batted this he's put our position on the table nothing else needs to be said from us.Our position is clear.

What I dislike is Melbourne know they haven't a legally signed document leg to stand on so have dragged the NRL into this when in all essence they have no business in these proceedings.Thats the weasel bit of it they can't get it done man to man so the back door is being employed.

              Israel Folau anyone.

              • I've never agreed with the term "swap" being used in this saga. There is no swap. Lomax isn't an employee of ours. Not sure why the nrl want to involve themselves in this, or the players association for that matter. It's an agreement between us and Lomax, period.

                • The Melb players will definitely be paid up members and Lomax is probably still a paid up member of the RLPA. So that's why they may be interested.

Yeah, can't understand why NRL gives a toss about a guy who wanted out of a binding contract so he could play Rugby Union.

  • Some are trying to argue that we did the same with Lomax leaving Dragons. Big difference. He was released with no conditions, 2 years remaining ripped up.

Dragons did not want compensation or anything just wanted him gone. He then went on to play Origin after all that happened.

  • Melbourne get away with everything. They would have even got away with the salary cap cheating if it weren't for that anonymous whistleblower.

  • Sue the nrl

    • Just pull their pants down. Vlandys wants it to go away, so hammer on it and stand firm and until he agrees...then it goes away

Sueing the NRL is like sueing your parents, it's a bad move...but kids can manipulate parents and sometimes they just refuse to do stuff that they don't have to do

      • Not a great analogy Rudolph!..... effective for the weak minded, who have you identified (apart from me).

        • We have refused Vlandys. Now to manipulate him by talking about him and his role

  • When Melbourne is doing well, rugby league is doing well. Or was that Souths?
