I was kinda hoping moses would not play world cup so he could focus on the eels and not be a risk injury wise, but alas, with Cleary out of action now, surely moses is a walk up start to the 7 jersey. Lets just hope he stays injury free, and will also come back later into pre-season trianing. i know im being selfish here, i should be saying good luck and well done, but i just know he will pick up an injury and be out at the start of next season as a result.

There's no point in keeping Moses in cotton wool, I think we just need to accept he is going to continually get injured because he is ageing and we need a more-than-serviceable Plan B.
Who knows, maybe a stint at the higher levels will click him back into better form, it's done that for him before.
Walters was on Matty J show saying "you don't want to be picking players who have not been playing for 4 or 6 weeks", and talking up Walker. Who would have guessed that a QLDer might bypass the half that was instrumental in winning the deciding SOO3 and outplaying Walker in the process?
Moses deserves that #7. We know Walters will have no issue selecting Munster at 6, because Walters' "not if they have t played for 6 weeks" is parochial BS.
A player can always be injured but the Eels are seriously in need of rep level players and Moses is one, and how can it harm the team that one-season rookies are led around the park by a guy who just wore the 7 for Australia? No down side there
Recruitment exercise at worst I have no doubt at all he has to be part of the mentioned process to actually get that mentioned talent across the line.
Don't forget Deardon, because Walters will not.
Moses will be in the squad, Walker is the best half....your point Daz should address is that Walker was still Qld's man of the series in this year's SOO notwithstanding Moses fine game in the series decider.
If I had the choice of halfback for Parramatta, I would choose Walker every time. Not the least for his goal kicking alone!
PS The draw will give some easy games, and they will share them before the serious stuff starts.....I am still interested in JAC being in the squad, I wouldn't expect him to play, but hopefully the games can be used for his suspension 8 is much more bearable than 2.

I dunno, do you select a bloke cause he played well back in June ? Or do you select a player who's steadily improved throughout the season and peaked in September / October and prepare for the future , I'm not even suggesting Walker , I'm just talking in general . I wouldn't blame Walters for picking his squad based on the attitude you wish to implement as well as a team harmony aspect. Edwards has been the best FB all year , are those pleading conspiracy going to be equally outraged if he picks Ponga over Edwards ? No ? Thought not.
Outside of Origin, Moses would've been somewhere towards the bottom of a top 10 halfback this year. Hardly says impossible to exclude. If they pick him I have no issue other than wanting him fresh for 2027, if they don't , it's literally no issue based on his 2026 season.
They simply may not select him as they know he'll just go and play for the Lebs anyway.

Walters picked Moses for England last year and Moses played fewer games last year. No reason he wouldn't pick him for a home world cup.
Edwards likely out as he ruptured his PCL. I'm sure plenty of people would be outraged if Ponga was selected at fullback though given he's declared for New Zealand. Tedesco likely the fullback at this rate.
Moses weeks ago was all set for Lebanon, until recently where he said he will play for Australia. That tells me Walters has told Moses he will be in the squad. Walters loves Moses.
With that being the case, I think Moses does start at 7.
