Moses gone Calf.

Put him in cotton wool until Vegas ffs

How much can an Eels fan take

He should hang the boots up on all rep football.

Calf again,  similar soft tissue injuries only allowing him to play less than half a season.  Moses needs to make the call and support the club which pays him 1.5 mil. Thats it. Ive had it

      • Munster is one year younger and Tedesco is one year older, but we do not hear Storm or Roosters fans whingeing that their star gets selected to represent his State or his Nation. It's truly a loser culture that would whinge about rep honours. It makes sense, of course, that Eels fans are disullusioned by lack of success, but that really doesn't warrant creating a loser culture that begrudges our own stars some rep honours. And lest it go unsaid, no Eels players in any rep squads would generate the equal and opposite reaction of "how shit are we", probably by the same sad sacks unable to control their disillusionment and bemoaning Moses being the Australian Number Freaking Seven.

    • Agree with everything you said wiz

but I'm still throwing crap at that ridiculous orange loser !!!

      • deserves every bit he gets and if anyone ever deserved your old shite in a box it's him luv (actually make it a storage containers worth)

For starters any aussie that drives a car should too.

    • Nah, they're sad sacks. Moses is kicking the leather off the ball, handling the ball multiple times per set, running blind side raids, and sticking his No. 7 body in front of whichever monster forward they run at him, and in recent seasons has had to put up with departing spine players (Dylbag$, Gutho), mass injuries to himself and others, and not much strike in his backs. For all this he gets sad sacks asking if the Eels should trade him. Sad sacks sad sacks sad sacks

  • Frustrating to say the least and I heard it was calf? Lets hope he is back for some pre-season and that the injury is not long lasting.

My concern is two fold - when I watched the game Moses for me was only kicking etc and Munster and Grant seemed to be calling the shots; with Yeo. No issue with him playing reps but its the injuries he has had in and around rep footy and the flow on for us as Parra.

He is definitely not like he was 3 yrs back, and I for one would not have an issue with the club looking at another option from 28. From memory is he contracted till 29?

I have also mentioned the leadership on the field - for me he does not have a calm head that IMO we need. Look at Yeo / Cleary for example. I would have no issue with Dearden. Playing half you need to be sharp between the ears and preferably on the ground with some added defence and a good kick. Look at Sterlo - not as quick as many but he set up the backs / sharp between ears and he had more experienced players around him and was calm.

    • If we were to pull the pin on Moses, who do you target firstly and will you be able to get them. How many top quality Halfbacks hit the market and actually leave? Not many. The ones that do mostly go to great teams to win a comp.

Our best bet might be trying to see if Fletcher has the goods or buying a top rookie Halfback elsewhere.

  • Yet we all heard the news about club objecting to Junior playing for Samoa only! He has to still get thru but we all knew this Moses injury was highly likely :(

has there ever been a time in recent years where Moses has not had ongoing injuries from any rep duties; clearly, he must see that too and give it a rest now.

thank goodness the club re-signed Volkman thats at least one covered. God knows what happens if luai doesn't come out untouched :(

  • Now being reported the scans are looking at the fibula. Possible small break. That would mean it's an impact injury and not soft tissue.

    • Would rather that. From my experience and those i speak to, they say bone breaks they would rather as their recovery is more predictable.

I mean look, he was not going to come into pre-season til January anyway, even then he would be doing light work. Forming a better combo with Luai in pre-season would be great but they at least have some familiarisation. So it doesn't set him or team back as much.

      • Its a blessing in disguise really, he doesn't play any more games in this tournament and gets a few weeks rest from what's been a busy last couple of years.
