More arrests on their way -http://www.theaustrali

The great thing is ....... we are now most likely the cleanest club in the league salary cap wise. All the news articles we hear now should be about the past and people being held accountable to that terrible past. Go Strikeforce Rhodium!!!

  • It still makes me nervous .....
  • Just a bit touchy on this I know but...It's bloody annoying how Irvine was being reported as a Parra employee.. He his an EX and not part of our club and hasn't been since he was mutually released or 'booted' two seasons ago when all was realised. Should've dobbed him in and the rest of them, right there and then, aka Broncos Gee style? That was our mistake.
Sheesh get it right news people..

Just for you trumpet lovers...Unfair! Fake News!
    • Bahaha ha gold mace . Trumpet lovers !!!!TURN OFF THE LIGHTS!!!
  • Hahaha.
Only difference according to trumpet, all news is fake news. Eyes wide shut. Botox time?
    • Both of you two have been fantasising about the Don again i see? you two would love a bit of the Don and are both very jealous of his wife, both of you girls would love to be his first lady.

      • TURN OFF THE LIGHTS!!!!!
  • I've seen the charges as outlined in the media. Can someone with a legal mind explain to me the illegal nature of what was done here? I understand it contravenes salary cap rules I'm just unsure of the illegal judicial aspects.
Did Irvine pocket the money for himself? Didn't he merely handball the company's money directly to company employees?
    Apologies for not keeping up.

    • Fraud pure and simple.... and possibly more. Obtaining financial advantage by deception is I believe how it is defined under criminal code. Now, if you can swindle extra cash for players....... do you think there is the potential to syphon off for personal purposes as you are suggesting?? I guess we will find out. Remember Danny Welders story on Seward putting the merchandising takings under his bead for safe keeping while at the bulldogs? Maybe he was half honest and never pocketed any for himself  or his family that he had working the merchandising....  And Sewards name was on dodgy merchandise invoices while at the dogs.........  remember too that TG was commercial manager at the bulldogs home ground while Seward was merchandising head. No wonder TG chase to have Seward be the first person he spoke with when this opened up. Not over yet folks!

    • I'd also say there is an element of tax evasion. Considering most would declare a particular income, for example they got paid 500k, they'd pay tax on that sum, whilst the brown paper bags went undeclared. It all comes down to fraud.
