Moderation Note: Forum Standards

We understand the frustration many are feeling, and the overwhelming, relentless sentiment surrounding the club at the moment.

However, we are not going to tolerate abuse or harassment directed at others simply because they may hold a different opinion. This also extends to individuals within the club itself and players.

We all expect standards from our club and players. We also expect standards on this forum.

For clarity's sake, the majority of posters have not crossed the line.

Moving forward, we will begin shutting down blogs, archiving threads, or removing content where necessary, and expect people to de-escalate in order to avoid further moderation action.

  • Fair call, the temperature has been getting a bit spicy in here of late.

Play the argument, not the person. And when all else fails remember:

    1. It's just a game and
    2. "I win arguments on the Internet" is not something you want on your Tinder profile

Now can we talk about what really matters - who is worse at picking a SOO team between Slater and Laurie.

    • Happens after a loss, always. Last week tumbleweeds were moving past the site.

      • Too true, we do love a good bit of drama. Who needs Home & Away when you're an Eels supporter.

    • How Jackson Ford and Terrell May miss out is beyond me, while Victor Radley gets selected? Then picking Yeo at lock when he's always been a better prop at Origin level. The lack of a genuine utility is also a concern. He'll be relying on Brailey and Strange to step into the breach on debut if a spine player goes down.

      • It's not a bad idea to start Yeo at lock then bring in Murray for quick play the balls once the defenders have some tired legs. I think Yeo will start and finish the game with Murry playing the key attacking lock role.

Having Teddy at FB will be a bigger concern as he kills any type of attacking plays we have in Origin and just spends his time slipping and sliding around like a goose. While he's had some good form in Clubland, QLD easily cover him in Origin. Our NSW FB stocks have really taken a hit because Edwards isn't spectacular either, while QLD had to leave Walsh out of their side so they could fit Ponga and Hammer.

😔 Fearful this could be another QLD clean sweep year with the amount of injuries we have. Let's just hope Moses isn't one of them.

  • The refs are more involved in the game than ever.

I feel a ripple in the force...unseen but not unfelt...somethimg-something about  access (mumbles) alignment and [redacted]

I was going to post a poem i just wrote called "Itchy Trigger Finger" but it will probably just get "Nuked", "shut down" "Archived" or "Removed" for the unseemly insinuations it contained

  • Honestly, I have to avoid this site for a few days after a bad loss these days.

It doesn't help the loss by venting at fellow supporters who are also feeling it. Don't worry, i'm feeling the same, my TV was lucky to stay on the wall and not get thrown off the balcony. But unleashing your fury by a keyboard via this site serves no purpose, neither does fuelling fire for other supporters.

  • I apologize if any of my comments or blogs have been disrespectful of others.

"Iongi 2 line breaks in 41 minutes of footy. Go going. Araz 236m has to start next week. New recruit Harrison Edwards 53 tackles and mom. All 3 should be rewarded with a start next week."

"Agree with your comment about setting us back years, but he didn't play out of his skin here when he was at 7. Perhaps it was our less than adequate forwards? Perhaps he just had an epiphany? Perhaps he has a few extra playmaker types around him…"

"Maybe put the pipe down before posting
Players go where money and opportunity is we are a mid range small club if its a matter of a few dollars less but a opportunity to actually win then players will always not choose us"
