Yet again in Friday nights game the most despised grub in the NRL was the instigator in starting crap that the NRL apparently is trying to rid from the game. Unfortunately the rules have changed where an as s h ole like Ennis can't just be on the receiving end of a right cross to the jaw. Instead the game has becoming an embarrassing push athon where players race in but can't do sweet Fk all.
It is one thing to be a sledger as he is but making any physical contact like he did again on Friday night (and does every week) by pushing our defender in the head when they scored their second try and the reason another "all run in push athon" started and again the instigator in the David Gower melee. He does this crap every week with the same outcome. Surely the NRL can see this and address the issue, they along with the referees do reviews on games even on individual players who are serial offenders in some area but this grubs actions that insights these flare ups has never been questioned.
It is a bad look for the game and kids watching who mimic what they see. On Saturday in an under 12's game I was watching a kid did the exact same thing to the defender on the ground after his team scored a try. Even more astounding no penalty or disallowed try awarded. Are the young referees mimicking what they see too?
The current administration running the game is killing it and clueless, it's not rocket science what needs to be addressed and changed to make a better game for both players and spectators.
When the going gets tough Menace? Grub? Pest? all of them applicable but the most accurate and fitting is winning the title every year for the most hated players in the NRL by your peers what a title to be proud of.

D Gower reacting to Ennis says it all. He will only get worse when he joins the Sharks.
This pushing and shoving proves nothing and just slows down the game. I would rather have fists flying, be done and get on with proceedings.
I reckon it would be worth 10 in the bin to deck grubs like Ennis, Slater, C. Smith, Thurston, Bird etc
