A source close to the Warriors coach has made a surprising admission, McFadden had revealed he had a desire to coach the Parramatta Eels, " He enjoyed his time at the Eels as a player and when Ricky Stuart left, He thought it was his chance to become a NRL coach".

When asked why she believed McFadden was not taken seriously by the Eels "He contacted the club at the time, they didn't even bother interviewing him"

As played out heavily through the media Eels chairman Steve Sharp declared Brad Arthur to be the man to coach Parramatta. Halfway through Brad Arthur's second season the Eels sit equal last on the competition ladder, the Warriors sit comfortably in the top 8 under the former Parramatta half.

Warriors CEO Wayne Scurrah  has seen enough to declare McFadden could eclipse the success enjoyed by grand final coaches Daniel Anderson and Ivan Cleary.

Andrew McFadden is the key reason behind the recruitment of Isaac Luke and Roger Tuivasa-Sheck for the 2016 season, Those signings give the warriors the most exciting young spine in the NRL.

Warrior's players credit enforcer Jacob Lillyman, the man responsible for concussing Nathan Peats and Isaac De Gois in round 3, the reason for their victory over the Eels at home. One player joked "it's ironic that we face the Eel's forward pack during the women in league round".

Shaun Johnson has been finding his lost form of late and a good performance this week will see him regain his confidence.

Unexpectedly Johnson comes up against Luke Kelly this week, "Johnson may be worried if he breaks the Eel's the line, Luke Kelly has the speed to run him down, It should be a real clash of the speedsters" smirked a member of the Warriors.
