When Danica of Channel 9 told Matterson was going to be playing Origin in the 17 jersey he did not believe it. He needed evidence, asking: "Are you serious?"
In shock he blurts, "Holy dooley, Oh, okay... Wow, Wow."
When asked, "How are you feeling?"
Swept with emotion he admits: "Straight away, I'm just thinking Mum, Dad, and My Brother Dean."
"My jaw is hurting from smiling."
Really stoked for him; he thoroughly deserves it. I hope he stays on with us, and continues to grow as a player and as a man.
Also, congratulations to Reagan Campbell-Gillard and our co-captain Junior Paulo. All three deserve accolades.

I watched the video, that was great, genuine emotion from Matto, the main takeaway from the video is how hot is Danica, just a natural beauty.

With all the misery out there, and media BS that usually adds more to it (don't forget it's not cool to be a positive goodie these days so we can't blame the media and world for everything) it's just touching to see small moments of goodwill.
You might have picked up on it, but when she asks Matto how he was feeling about it, he paused, took a deep breath to collect himself and answered "Straight away I'm thinking". He skipped the feelings part, but it was obvious how deeply he felt about it and was overwhelmed by elation ...
