Lorenzo starting nsw cup behind a solid NRL experieced pack. He is the real deal IMO. He is small by NRL standards but is lightening fast between ears and feet. Hope he doesnt just play the good distributor in his NSW Cup debut. If he takes them on , he will showcase a very special talent. Wet track might temper it but he doesnt need much space trust me.
Ryles isnt rewarding people signing elsewhere. He has a club to run. He is getting as many players NRL ready for a real crack at top 4 in coming years.
I like that Ryles is beginning to make a statement about that and prioritising players that are loyal and performing. He's setting a standard and saying decisions have consequences.
Once again we will live to regret this loss. Not sure who is the person in our club that lets these young ones go. We have only one first grade quality 1/2 5/8 in the club in Moses. We had 2 potential guns coming through in Matt and Lorenzo and in 2 years we will be looking to replace Moses. Dean Hawkins and Ronald Volkman are only reserve grade and not the future. Why is it that we keep losing our halves. Hunter has a good passing and short kicking game along with speed. Gosh I hope I am wrong.
Could this be a misunderstanding from Newcastle to start with. Watched someone at Parra wearing the 6 and thought he's our guy. Signing Brown thinking it was Hunter and wondering why he was asking for so much gave it to him anyway.
Then Parr made them realise they got the wrong guy and got Hunter properly this time.

Probably we prefer Talataina who is signed til 2028?
Problem is we need 2 not one e.g. we needed Sterling and Kenny.
The club want Lincoln Fletcher as the Sterling

*obviously a joker
aside from that Hunter is a Newcastle junior!
Melbourne signed Cooper Votano if I recall- or were looking at him. He plays halves I think...
Yep Connors younger brother. Pretty sure Cooper played 6 for knights in HM this year
