Matterson ruled out

The Parramatta Eels squad named to take on the Canberra Raiders in Round Six has been reduced to 19.

With 24 hours until kick off, Ryan Matterson and Joey Lussick drop off.

Matterson has been ruled out suffering ongoing symptoms of concussion.

  • Interesting to see Dunster on the bench. Perhaps when he comes on he plays centre and niukore to the middle.

  • I am really concerned about Matterson.  Not only is his value decreasing but his symptoms have been lingering for a while now.

    • It is a concern how long this is dragging on. Mind you, given how he accused the Tigers of being reckless in his injury management when he was there, I'm sure the Eels are being very careful.

      • Yea exactly. I wonder how much this impacts teams interest in him.

  • That's disappointing.
Haze to Centre and Niukore to the bench?

    • I'd leave Marata in the centres and put Wiremu Grieg on the bench.

      • Sure but if that was happening why wouldn't BA just announce Grieg onto the bench?

        • Yes I know, he should just start with Haze then. Weak bench.

          • With Marata on the bench it's not too bad. Big boys there.

      • BOOM 💥

"Totally agree LB. Strange played well and deserves to keep his spot and would be good for us to have Moses playing for us and getting more for our bucks so to speak."

"Well done Shane. I for one am happy to see Strange stay as he played well. I do not see a need for Moses at 6 with Strange. But regardless of if Cleary deserves 7 or not he won't be dropped. Nor should he be at this stage."

"so many on here talking crap. Cleary kicking was good and help win the game, Moses kicks goes strat to fullback or winger and they make 10 or plus metres tothe defense, thats not great kicking and doesn't win you games where Cleary kicked a 40 / 20,…"
