      • He'll be turning 32 when his contract expires and he's a head knock away from a forced retirement. Hes very likley to be playing his final seasons. Hes no chance of getting a new contract with us or a big portion of the remaining NRL clubs.  I guess we will see how he goes this week for an indication of where his heads at.

        • That's the issue for me Wiz, he is one bad knock away from retirement etc. but his value overall would've come down; I can see him heading o/s if he doesn't retire here. He's had one v good season and a couple of ok seasons but his value has dropped big time

        • He won't get a contract with us, but I was hoping a Superleague team might pick him up early so we don't have him on the books for next year.

          • Well still can go in 2026 despite playing FG. He could be an option for Perth once in 2027. Especially if BA gets the job. Might want that experienced player for a year or two.

  • Until Parra start winning some collisions and getting some traction in the middle of the field it's going to be a long year.

I feel Matto and Lomax are the last roll of the dice and then the rest of the season will just take its course.

    • Already has been a long year Coryn, we are 10 games in, 2 away from halfway point. So we survived the first half, what is another half.

  • train & trail players can be named this week too.

for this weekend I would go

    1: I Longi

    2: Z Lomax

    3: W Penisini

    4: S Russell

    5: J Addo Carr

    6: D Brown

    7: M Moses

    8: L Moretti

    9: R Smith

    10: Jr Paulo

    11: R Matterson

    12: K Kautoga

    13: D Walker

    14: J Hopgood

    15: J Samarina

    16: T Mataele

    17: J Williams

    18: W Latu

    19: C Guymer

    20: J Papali

    21: M Doorey

    • Not sure if Latu will get a 22 spot. I think give it a few more weeks. What helps is Matterson returning to FG since Guymer goes back to Cup playing Lock once Tuilagi is back. Doorey more likely makes way for Matto in FG and he will play Prop. So Latu has free reign at the edge spot for a while yet. I reckon 2-3 more games like he had on weekend and he will get traction.

I am curious to see how many SG Ball players get the call up to Flegg this week. Funa-Iuta and Talagi at least on the bench as well Coinakis.

      • Funa-Luta can actually play first grade this week lol he's on a train & trail, Brock Parker, Josh Lyn and Ethan Martin can also play.

Will Latu id have him as 18th man just to ease him into it, get some experience with the first grade side. Toni Mataele has been pretty good in cup, so he deserves a spot on the bench, I've Matterson on a edge mainly due to he's defence, and has a good offload on him.

    • like your side KingGutho, only change 'd make is no footy IQ Kautoga to the bench and Samarrina to start on the edge with Matto
