Master-stroke By Ryles

This move is awesome couldn't be happier. We beat the Brisbane Roosters Warriors just lost to Melbourne shown back end of the year we were one of best in nrl.  Throw in Pezet as a bridge for Lorenzo who needs a year to stand the physical nature of 1st grade we a real threat . We are using Pezet as much he is using us

    • What 6s were available none or very few. Galvin was always going to belmore and Pezet wants to play 7

      • We put effort into developing Talagi, it backfired.

We put effort into retaining Brown, it backfired.

We put effort into chasing Galvin, it backfired.

All of that effort could have been put into long term backroom conversations elsewhere. You say Galvin was always going to the Dogs...and why is that? Because they were working on it behind the scenes for ages, and they got their man.

All of our efforts so far seem to have come to nothing. Let's be honest, what's the bet we've had no conversations with the good halves available in 2027 and we're putting all our eggs in the basket of an untested junior.

I'm not saying Pezet is the answer, I also don't think Galvin was. I'm just dismayed at the absolute consistent failure of our R&R to have any strategic nous or negotiation success. It's a killer for the club. Look at the Broncos roster compared to ours, and they're still able to buy in choice talent.

        • 1,000,000%

        • We beat full strength Brisbane at Suncorp no Iongi or Brown.

Talagi wanted play in halves we didnt know Brown would leave to unlucky infact it took biggest contract ever to lure Brown away. Lorenzo excelling at nsw cup changed our perspective and gave us confidence making him long term 6

          • What made you think Lorenzo was excelling at NSW Cup.........the perspective was changed after not excelling at NSW Cup......

Is this getting through to you or are we speaking from different planets??????????

  • It looks to be all set and done now, it is what it is let's just hope they have a plan for the five-eight position in 2027, whether we sign someone from the open market in a couple of weeks or see if Lorenzo is a chance to be ready by then

    • "O well, it is what it is"....Is that what you say when you find out the neighbour is banging your wife....it is what it is

      • lol

      • If you are Parra you just take your position in the cuck chair and offer him a contract.

      • No I say thank you for lightening my work load 😂😂

"This is just a thought, but I think that Pezet had to take up on his clause before the season started, or else he'd be locked into a long-term contract with the storm, so by being our backup 7 this year, it lets him get to the Broncos earlier than…"

"Bit of a shame we're losing Hawkins. He was the best backup 7 we've had in a while and done a great job while Moses was out.
Does that mean Volkman moves to 7 and Joash moves to 5/8 in NSW Cup?"

"These guys are pro athletes, not office workers. Their reputation is part of what motivates them.
As for Papalii, he will still be at the club in 2027. Moses will probably miss half the year so Papalii will get plenty of game time."

"Why? Did u watch Anastas podcast? Highly unlikely he would move to Parra for one year to play reggies when he could do that in Melbourne."
