Throw in Pezet as a bridge for Lorenzo who needs a year to stand the physical nature of 1st grade we a real threat . We are using Pezet as much he is using us

It's a new day and I'm still pissed off and in disbelief that the club would even consider this.
The only way this works as poppa pointed out, is if the eels already have another quality half signed for 2027.
I would literally bet my house on the fact that we don't. MON and our R&R team have consistently failed. I'm sure we'll be used as leverage in someone else's success though, we're great at that.
The only chance we have of a Premiership is the stars align and we get a batch of high-quality juniors coming through which can take us on a run all the way. We dont have the strategy and nous to engineer a Premiership by playing the player market. Developing our own is our only chance. And we'd need to do it with a young squad before they inevitably get poached.
Yep, and our track record there isn't good. Our last junior supposed next gen superstars were Talagi, Sanders and Matt Arthur. Gone, gone and gone.
It's a shame because I do like what I've seen from Ryles as a coach. But you can't win a premiership without the roster.
Even now our best players are Moses who's a huge injury concern and Lomax who may or may not play another game.
💯 I've always been sceptical about our off field abilities vs the best in the comp and I agree completely it feels like we are always playing off the back foot and are no where near the top of the tree when it comes to what your mentioning.
So how do we win a comp I just have no answer maybe standing in the middle of a field and getting hit by lightning seems like a more plausible chance because for sure and for certain on this recruitment development front we are just well off the pace.
More than likely the ones who blew a gasket and wanted Ryles' head on a platter when Gutho and Reg were allowed to walk, are the same ones now blowing gaskets big time. We are just fans sitting in the grandstand without a real clue what is going on with R&R. Funny (well, not really) how so many Eel fans want to eat their own.
I dont think there was any real uproar when Guth and Reg walked. Certainly nothing like this piece of disharmony ......I have never seen this site so strong in a single direction of this being all so wrong!

You are right about this site never being so strong in one direction, if that isn't a sign that this move stinks then I don't know what is.

You may know a 100 people in that category, but in terms of this site and the single direction it has taken, the relevance is unmistakable.
Have you ever seen this site so unanimous on a principle as this discussion. My single direction can be qualified but it is only the principle that is being justified, not the literacy!
