Manly Going to be Difficult Next Week

Just been watching the Manly vs Roosters game and I must say the Sea Eagles are looking like a very good team. Noticed too that Nathan Brown is having a very good game. Manly have some powerful strong runners in their backline. Tom Turbo is also in very good form and Brooks is playing really good. They're going to be very tough next week. Especially no Simmonsen, Sivo, Moses not a 100% and Eels have nothing in reserves. Poor recruitment again has been a real cluster F**CK in my opinion

  • In all honesty I think Manly will score more points against us than Penref did.

    • They've got more lethal attack than Penrith, but also more suspect defence. I'd say it'll be a relatively high scoring game.

  • Manly are getting looked after quite a bit though. Plus Roosters aren't doing themselves any favours with all the penalties they are giving away.

  • I'm gonna be going to the game and I hope the eels improve on their defence..

  • Without injuries Manly has a great team on paper. If we don't dominate the middle from the get go we are going to be burned hard on the edges. We need to do the same as we did against the Dogs, smash their middle so their edges get nothing to work with.

A much harder proposition than the Dogs. But they have a few rocks and diamonds players who could gift us some tries if we're vigilant.

  • As long as Klein and Atkins ain't referees.

  • Gee why to raise the white flag 7 days out from the actual game.

    • I'm analysing the most recent performances of both teams and based on that analysis I consider Manly a tougher opponent to deal with especially given the fact Eels have no Sivo, no Simmonsen, Moses looking like he's not 100% as does Gutherson. Manly have a much more younger, stronger, faster backline. Who do the Eels have? Lumelume, Dunster, Harper, not nothing to get excited about

      • Lucky games aren't decided by backs. I'll take our forward pack and bench over there's everyday. Koula is a gun but who else?
Manly have lost Saab, now Talau. Turbo has a lower leg injury. Their 18th man is Jake Arthur. Nathan Brown is on their bench. Scary stuff.

        • They can come very close to matching our forwards and then their outside backs are far more superior than who ba has.  The home ground advantage may come inti play.

          Manly in a close one

"Dont think we need TDS as Walker can fill the roll his playing as can play lock, center, in the halves and fill in as dummy half if Smith needs a rest. I'd have Tuivaiti as the other bench player as he would allow another  interchange to spell…"

"I think our club believes we have enough outside backs. There have been numerous outside backs available over the last 6 months or so and we havnt been linked to any of them."

"I would normally think like that too Fitzy, but I'm hearing he is really chasing a home like club so he can enjoy his footy. Nothing like having an old mate as coach to help with the environment.
