This week we have seen the team bashed , the coached bashed and club management being accused of having the footy IQ of a dyslexic teenager ( which is 100% correct )so the eels should have all the motivation in the world tonight and anything but a win will be unacceptable .
Tonight's game will be a crucial one for the eels board and it will test if they have high standards for the club . Brad Arthur has many flaws as coach and one of his main flaws is that he can't get the team to win in big games when a lot is on the line and he first showed this fatal flaw way back in 2014 and he has shown it every year since and as recent as last week .
In 2014 the eels had two chances to make the finals when they played two crap sides in succession in the Knights and the wooden spooners the raiders. Two games with a lot on the line and the Bush coach failed miserably and this has been a consistent theme with his coaching , he does not have the ability to prepare and get his team over the line when the stakes are high .
If he fails again tonight then the board will have little choice but to tap him on the shoulder and say goodbye because 8 years of showing the same flaw as a coach is embarrassingly to long for a club to tolerate .
Clint Gutherson has proven that he is a piss poor leader who only really performes when he is up against the tigers and Broncos yet as we have seen this week he loves asking for the big dollars . As a leader Gutho offers nothing a team actually needs from a leader , when the eels are under pressure and the game is slipping away he doesn't have the ability to gather his troops and get them back in the game and lead them back in the game .
Players can't look to him for anything because 95% of the time when the team is under pressure and being dominated he is one of the players who buckles the most which is why he makes no many mistakes that cost the team dearly . So tonight he has to stand up and be one of players to lead the team to victory and if he falls again then management should say alright Clint you are free to go .
Mitch Moses is another player who has never stepped up in a big game , he offers nothing in attack apart from a bomb and he buckles in big games and big moments . He is on 900k so he also needs to step up tonight and show us things he has never shown and if he fails again it will show eels fans have nothing to look forward to but misery for the next 3 years with him in the team .
Eels fans have suffered enough over the last 11 years and their are no more excuses for the coach and certain players, if they fail again tonight then mass changes are needed because as they say , if you keep doing what you have always done you will keep getting what you've always got .

I know it isn't going to happen but as much as I can't stand him I would love to see what Bennett could do with some of our key players especially our halves. I just heard Cody walker has reach 50 try assists. How many does Dylan have. We need a change and our failings over the last 8 years in the big games have one constant which is the coach.
It is a massive 4 or so weeks coming up for brad's career or unfortunately for him he will have to go into the unemployed coaching queue and hope for an opportunity at a bottom 4 club along with Flanagan and co
Agreed if they can't fire up for this game against old foes Manly arfter a week of getting shit on by everyone there should be big changes made to coaching and playing roster no more excuses hopefully they can do something special for the fans tonight arfter a bad week go Parra
What a shame Fongie that reading this you would have to guess that you would prefer to see them lose rather than enjoy them winning. It really says more about you being a supporter than it does about our deficiencies.
I hope your wrong and I will say that if they win, in my mind it changes nothing with regards to the coach and whether he stays or not, I think even us real supporters still want to see Parra win before pre determing the individual failures that get us no where by just putting shit on indivduals, I will still be calling for BA's head, what will you be doing?

Our board haven't faced any pressure because things have been going well now we are under the pump and on the verge of another rebuild the pressure will be on them to make tough decisions

It matters not what happens in this game nor any of the normal season games left. All that matters is what happens in the finals. These next few games are just training runs. Some we will lose some we will win. Nor should the coach be judged until the fat lady sings. I keep saying the team has already over achieved any more is a bonus.
If the team can't get up for BA these last couple of weeks than he should be released and we must look for someone for 2022. The media coverage on BA should be enough motivation.
