All this talk of the NRL changing rules and wanting to add this and that. Stuff let us decide what rules we should do.
What are some rules you would love to see the NRL incorporate, they can be serious or dumb ones i do not care this blog is for a laugh.
I'll start with some. Both teams elect a fan of their choice from the crowd to play Hooker. Minimum 40 mins they play.
Hairstyles can be enforced with an automatic fine or suspension.
Refs can award tries at anytime with no explanation. Teams could be on halfway line and a try awarded.
Mascots allowed to go on the field for one play if they make a successful tackle it is a turnover.
For entertainment purposes, a 2nd ball can be thrown into the field of play at any time and is a live ball, good luck.
One free punch or illegal tackle per game.
If a draw after 80mins, coaches come out to the middle and wrestle to the death.
Please excuse me thinking i am funny. What else do you have? Maybe themed rounds might suit too.

If a player loses control of ball yet regathers it after a defender touches it and/or before it hits the ground it's play on
Ball absolutely must be played backwards with foot in the play the ball
First marker absolutely cannot have contact with the player playing the ball
The scrum needs to be returned to original rules where the ball is fed into the middle and hookers become hookers again
Two referees
Linesmen need to be returned to their original duties of assisting referees in all aspects of the game
Dead ball line linesmen to assist in the awarding of tries
Technology used for ruling on forward passes
Bunker only to be used when on field referees absolutely cannot make a heads up decision
Bring back the biff using ice hockey rules ie No extra players coming in and no king hits
No home game loudspeaker used at all whether it be music or fan barraking prompts during the game
Lol add boxes for players to fight and get it out of their system.
Yeh LB The ref literally stops the game so lads can beat the shit of each other I'm not sure if they still do it but it always amazed me that they did in the first place There'd have to be rules involved like no king hits or MMA kicks and holds but it would certainly get rid of the gobby pests like Ennis and Mahoney

I love this one Rex, one of my biggest beef's.....stop all those constant replays of who touched it first, the bloke who end's up with it keeps, as long as its not an assisted steal.
I'm old school Pops when it comes to my footy A lot of my points are basically just going back to the eighties before they started adding all these new ways to make the game more "entertaining"
No more 7 tackle 20m restarts.
If the ball is kicked dead, 6 tackle restart from either 20m out or from where the ball was kicked - whichever is further.
I am not sure on this, is it not a price to pay for the attacking side just kicking it dead? Can be confusing just the same?
Sure I get that.
The 7 tackle restart was initially brought in (from my memory) to stop teams who have had a poor set, managing to get to the halfway line at best, and just having a half back with a big boot kicking it as deep as possible so it goes dead and they get to set up their defence 20 meters out from the goal line. Unfortunaly, I think, the rule change has impacted far wider than that.
The change I am suggesting means that the team who kicked it dead intentionally from that far out are penalised with field position - turning the ball over back at the half way line. Kicks inside the 20 m shouldn't be "penalised" with 7 tackles I think, The same for a contested ball that the flying winger knocks on over the tryline - 6 tackle restart is more in line with the error.
