Madge set to sign with the Broncos

I'm pretty sure he rejected Parra when they approached him. Think winning the origin series changed his mind about head coaching

  • Nowwww it makes sense why he wasn't interested in the Parra job.

    • Exactly my thoughts.

  • He's in for one hell of a ride. Two assistants that were not his choice, Alan Langer in two minds, which will end badly if Madge doesn't want him or he decides to leave. Reynolds will be in the players ears telling them what to expect, seeing he was one of the players at Souths who got Madge sacked.

    • It's interesting that Trent Barrett was signed before Madge was announced, I wonder if that changes - if this was months in the planning why sign Barrett on? Wouldn't Madge want his own assistant's? Something doesn't add up.

      • No Planning went into this, it was a spur of the moment thing where Kevie lost his temper after the review and basically shit in his own nest.

What ever happens from here on is an ad-lib. Obviously Madge would /like to have the job, as Cappy pointed out it is a bloody good dig with a first rate roster.

Madge being accepted by the Bronco's heirachy will be the hard thing. The old guard aren't very happy about Kevie being outed......politics will have a big sway and you can go back to the review that pissed Kevie off and it just may suit Madge as a displinarian......as Michael W states above its going to be a hell of a ride.

I don't think Madge will mind the assistants, Teo is a Bronco (Qlder) and i am not sure how Barrett got the job, but they would have to pay him out if it came to that, suggest it won't.

Stress again Mick & Joel, NO PLANNING for this, straight from 2 seperate directors.

        • You have  access to 2 separate directors from the broncos?

      • CEO already came out and said both Ben Te'o and Trent Barrett will be at Brisbane in 2025.

    • Could be a good chance this is Reynolds last year.

  • It's exactly what they need but if some of their precious players can handle the discipline is another story

  • Almost impossible job for a non Queenslander in my opinion. The old boys there are outspoken and loyal to their own. I don't see it going well past the honeymoon phase.
