One day you may understand that that is exactly what Ryles is doing, maybe not so with Dylan but he is/has done with Samrani /Russell/Williams etc and will continue to do so until he makes the right plays across the Team.
Brooks is solid. A good short term option with experience. Can still kick and run, and defends at around 85%

Solid as in he can do all the stuff we need from a 6. He is going as well as Sandon Smith right now but doesn't have the upside. For the same price you'd take Smith but why would they cost the same? There would be much more demand for the younger guy, which means he would cost a lot more.
I suggest you watch some Manly games, his defence is rubbish and a constant target for opposition. There is nothing solid about Brooks's game.
