"I think thats the problem. He is too good for NSW cup so we are trying to jut fit him into the NRL team somehow . But in reality he is not a 6 or a 9. Just a fullback right now. During the recent pre-season Papalii only spent time training with…"
"The chances of him being our 6 next year are very low, if he was a serious consideration he would be playing 6 now with dylan at centre. I'll be very surprised if he is our starting 6 next season unless he gets a lot more time there this season. "
"I think Joash is a good player, but from what I've seen only at fullback or on the wing. Those positions we've got pretty well covered, so I guess he's a great back up option. I'd like to see him in 1st grade, but I dont know how he fits in?"

Mateo has an x-factor with his jinking runs and offloads, whilst KK provides a spark of creative energy.
Both are underrated by the people that count at the eels.
Mateo! oh Mateo! what a brilliant skillful gem of a player! such skill in a big man is a rare as........as rare as ........Jarrayd Hayne!
Some people on this forum are critical of Mateo saying he runs hot & cold, well as much as i support coach DA I see this as a failure of the coach to harness and nurture a bright spark. Sometimes players (and all adults) like Children just need that attention and recognition, they need someone to "salute" their flag, the right word at the right time and they will perform for you, they will try to please you, its called people management and it is required in all sporting teams and when you employ people.
Just like the loss of Kingston has really hurt our team this year i fear that the loss of Mateo (unless we get a Quade Cooper or Cronk) will be too big a hole to fill and we will all be very angry in 12 months time!
Mateo and Inu also to shine
